I love Taos brand. I have had a number of their sandals throughout the years. These are supportive and comfortable. The tread is very nice, I don't have to worry about slipping. The straps sit just right and I love that they are Velcro. They are beautiful and stylish. Good quality and worth the money!
I was hesitant to order these sandals because of the price. I have never spent this much on a pair of sandals. However, from the moment I took them from the box and put them on my feet, I knew I would not be returning them.The leather is beautiful and real leather. Supple but not flimsy. The foot bed is covered in a very soft material that feels divine on my skin. Velcro on both straps allows you to get a perfect fit, and adjust it as the day goes on and feet swell.This sandal is cushioned without feeling squishy. It's incredibly supportive. They require no break-in period whatsoever. I wore them to work all day (desk job) and then shopping and running errands all evening. The straps never rubbed and my feet did not ache or feel at all fatigued. In fact, these sandals barely feel like you're wearing shoes. It's like being barefoot, but better because you're perfectly supported.Bottom line: I wholeheartedly recommend these sandals. To me they are worth the price tag and I plan to buy another pair in a different color.
The Taos sandal gives me a feeling of luxury with it's soft upper leather and beautiful, sturdy construction. I love the velcro closures at the toe and ankle. It feels like the sandal was made specifically for my personal needs, with perfect cushioning at the appropriate places to support my foot as I walk. I immediately bought a second pair in red. UPDATE: The red pair came as a pale rose color. I sent them back with a note that specifically asked for the RED sandal. The replacement pair was again the Bruschett, which is NOT the RED shown in the selection section of the advertisement, but the pale rose to pink color. I'm disappointed but decided to keep the wrong color due to the excellent fit and comfort.
Recently I decided it was time for a "shoe redo." I moved to FL a little over a year ago, so sandals are the daily shoe vs. rarely wearing them all the years I lived in the northern United States. Of all the sandals I tried at stores and from online sites over the last month, these are one of my top 2 favorites. The other is Naot Dorith. Both sandals are chic/attractive and available in many colors, which is great! I bought this one in STONE and ESPRESSO and was tempted to buy the DARK GREY color - I forget what it's called now - but I already have grey Reiker sandals, also a comfortable brand. Leather is nice quality, fit is comfortable and I like that they're easy on/easy off. There's good tread on the sole so it will prevent slipping. As for comfort, though these ARE comfortable, I realized in my sandal endeavor, regardless of the cost, sandals sold in the U.S. aren't necessarily designed for serious support and comfort. I have a high arch, anything flat gives me a back-ache and head-ache. This Taos The Show sandal and Naot's Dorith both have a little arch support. They'll work well going out for a few hours, etc., but they won't be the sandal I wear when on my feet all day sightseeing in Europe this Summer. For that I'll probably buy a shoe or sandal from Merrell.
Loved trying 3 pairs of different sandals on the 7 day trial. Bought these as result. Perfect for me. Size is great and comfort is amazing. They promote neutral posture and are easy to walk in all day. The two sets of Velcro adjustable straps at ankle and across the widest part of my foot help ensure the fit. No blisters and not rubbing right out of the box. Strap behind ankle is nicely padded. These are really leather so they do scuff immediately but that didn’t create any problems in the light brown color I purchased. It actually adds an interesting patina. I will purchase another pair because they are so cute and stylish.
This is my third pair of Taos shoe's. I have a lot of trouble with my feet. so being able to adjust both straps really makes a difference. I'm a size 7 and it was perfect. The colors are really nice also. The leather is soft which I think makes wearing so much better. I hope this was helpful if you're thinking of giving them a try.
These seem like they'd be very comfortable. Great quality, cute shoes.But, if you're a half-size like me, probably best to move on to someone else. Sizing up is too big, leaving my ankle and toes swimming, because there isn't enough velcro on the straps to make it cinch enough. Size down is far too small in length.Shame, really. I don't know why shoe companies insist on sticking to whole sizes and hoping the rest of us will somehow make it work.These don't for me, and I suspect they won't for a lot of half sizes.
Very nice leather and comfortable with nice adjustability. Since this brand comes in whole sizes only here's a sizing tip. In regular shoes I wear a 6.5. I was tempted to size up BUT I have short toes. The 6 fit perfectly ONLY because I have short toes. If I had longer toes I would have needed to size up the the 7. My pair shipped from Peltz Shoes. The shipping was very fast.
