I purchased three pairs of Emmanuela Greek sandals hoping they would work for my hard to fit feet. Two had the open toe and buckle front, in brown weave and turqoise. The turqoise is suede which I didn't want. The third was the cage style in coral, which I was happy to see is a true red. I am returning the open toe pairs and keeping the cage pair. The front buckle on the open style can only be taken in one hole, no use adding more holes because of how it is attached, and even taking it in one hole scrunches the leather. All three pairs are too high above my foot. This is a typical problem for me. I was only able to put insoles into the cage style one without it looking odd due to the way the shoes are made. Though the sole is medium-wide on all of them, on the open-toe style, the sides are attached leaving more sole than is typical extending past both sides of the shoe. This makes the shoe a little narrower in fit to the foot, though not enough for me. On the cage style, I put in insoles which made them fit, and they have little sole extending past the sides. Both styles are cute, both made of thin leather, even the brown weave. All have very flat footbeds. I'd consider buying the cage style again if the right colors become available again in my size, and if they pass the walking test outdoors. For medium to wide feet of normal height, the open front style should work unless you want to add support.
