Great shoes, but READ THE SIZING GUIDELINES! I wear 8, ordered 10 in the leather and they fit beautifully. Wasn't even aware of them after dancing a few moments, wore them all night without a problem. Walked into the ladies room and saw a lady with two bleeding heels from her shoes, and realized my new shoes hadn't given me a moment's twinge! These are a dancer's shoes, without a doubt. Wonderfully soft on the inside, they cradle your foot, come up just high enough on the heel side. The soft suede on the sole is perfect, not sticky, not slick. If you order the canvas version of these shoes, the sizing is completely different -- you can order your regular size, so keep that in mind.
Runs EXTREMELY smaller than what's advertised, quality ain't good either
The sizing on this product is TOTALLY wrong! I wear an 8 US all say long, this was more like a 6. Very disappointed in Amazon for this product!
I bought these for belly dance because the lines are pretty and I need shoes to protect my feet when dancing in restaurants.The quality looks OK, especially for the price but the sizing runs super small. I wear a size 11 so I ordered the 13 as indicated by other reviewers - and this was still too small. Since this is the largest size available, I had to return the shoes.
I purchased these teaching sandals in black in a size 10. I also bought the Bloch leather Grecian teaching sandals in pink in a size 8. After swing dancing in my Capezio 1.5” character shoes for 2 years, I wanted to have a lower-heeled, but still nice looking dance shoe, especially since I’m currently learning lindy. All three of these shoes are pictured for reference (the Capezio’s are also a size 8).A few major sizing notes about these shoes:- The size 10 fits like a 9.- This shoe is on the narrow side.Other than not actually fitting my feet (I wear a size 8 in Capezio & Bloch dance shoes and ordered a size 10 in these based on other reviewers recommendations - which was both too long AND too narrow), these shoes are great. They are leather upper, leather-lined and have a really nice suede outer sole. The buckle is good quality and allows for ample adjustment (even for my high instep).These shoes are a bit stiffer since they are made up of two layers of leather (compared to the Bloch teaching sandals, which are cloth lined in the toe). Since my feet are a bit on the wide side, the Bloch teaching sandals fit perfectly (and identically to my Bloch lace-up jazz shoes). So if you’ve tried the Bloch sandals and they were too wide, maybe give these a try???Bottom Line: These shoes would be great if you have a narrower foot and if you order one size up!

These do run small- I ordered 3 1/2 sizes larger than normal- I could have gotten them smaller if I was using them for teaching, but I just wanted comfortable shoes for the office. They are wonderful, very well made shoes- perfect for the office or the ballet studio!
