I'm very happy with this shoe in the black microtouch fabric. It's actually what I call a faille fabric--you older ladies will know what I mean. Fabric does not look cheap at all, and it arrives with a teflon coating to protect the shoe from spots & stains. That's a nice bonus. Fits just right. I'm a true 8M and ordered 8M. My toes are not squished, even with my bunion on one foot. Favorite thing about this shoe is that the toe box is fairly roomy, and yet the heel strap stays in place around my narrow heel. I wear the strap in the middle hole, and there are several holes on either side for adjustment. I have found this to be true for most Hommerson styles--room in the toes without walking out of the shoe. This is a dressy shoe in the fabric; will look great with any dress that calls for a strappy-style black shoe. Excellent service from Amazon--free shipping & free returns. This is only the second pair of shoes I've ordered from Amazon. I was worried because I usually go to that huge online shoe website that begins with Z. No need to worry. Neither pair of shoes I've ordered had ever been tried on--both brand new condition, packed carefully and shipped quickly. Try this Pixie style if you need a low heeled dress shoe that isn't matronly. I can even see my 38 year old daughter wearing this shoe. Hommerson is a great brand.
Looks good with dressy or casual clothes
This shoe fits perfectly and is so pretty. I wear it with pants and dresses. If I can find my size in another color I will buy another pair.I have to update my review of this shoe(4/28/2014). I still love this shoe but must tell you that today the entire front part of the sole on both shoes came apart. I just purchased this shoe in January 2014 and haven't worn it that much for the sole to pull apart from the shoe. This is unreal. I am going to glue them back and hope that it holds. Originally I had rated this shoe five stars but because of this problem I have changed the rating to three stars.
I bought a size 8w and the shoes are true to size. The first time I wore them the inside sounded creaky and I was concerned. But the next time I didn't hear anything. They are really comfortable. It's a pleasure to find shoes with heels that are elegant as well as comfortable (it's not so easy to find the two together). It's exactly what I needed.

I wanted a low heeled dressy shoe for the holidays. This is it! I have wide feet and touchy toes. I got the EE width and it is perfect. There is also plenty of toe room. It feels great and looks wonderful. The fabric looks rich. I am very happy with this shoe and recommend it.
This shoe dug into the top of my foot, and near the toes, and also at the ankle. Not a matter of breaking in the shoe...it's a design problem in my opinion, or the material. Very cute shoe, but equally painful! Returned them.
I have been wearing Easy Street and 9 1/2 N fit perfect. Of this Ros Hommerson shoe I couldn't even get it on so I ordered a 10 m It is really too big but I decided not to send anymore sending it back. Maybe I can find a 1/2 innersole and get by with it. No more ordering shoes. I used to wear this brand all the time.
