I took a chance on ordering g these after reading all the negative reviews and I'm glad I did! First, they definitely have three adjustable straps. The strap that had the buckle on it actually does close by velcro, the buckle is just a decoration. The other two straps are also velcro closure. The back strap does not adjust, this may be a problem for some folks, but the shoe fit me very well. The leather is not stiff but rather is soft and conforming. I agree that they aren't the height of fashion and style (I haven't found many extra wide shoes that are!) bur they are very nice looking and the dusty taupe (beige) will go with everything and look nice with both pants and dresses.
These sandals look great and feel great, and are very reasonably priced. I inherited a very high instep from the Native American side of my family, which means finding nice shoes that really fit can be a problem. Ordinarily I have to settle for less than desirable styles. I took a chance with these, and I'm so glad I did. Because of the many size choices and flexible fit all around, I can easily adjust these sandals to fit my feet perfectly. I love the way they look, too. They're sturdy and very comfortable to wear all day.
I put moleskin under the front velcro strap & keep it very loose. I like the fit & they are just right with my orthotics in them. They are comfortable without my orthotics but not enough arch support. The one thing I would love is instead of the buckle to have that strap be velcro as well.I was having a great deal of trouble finding nice looking sandals to accommodate my bunion, hammertoes & neuroma on my right foot. I knew if the right side fit the left would have no problem at all. I have very high arches too so I could not find anything to fit & these sandals gave me the option of getting very wide width & I really like them a lot.
I need to begin by saying that I have Diabetes with Neuropathy in my feet. I also have wide feet and problematic toenails. It's very difficult to find shoes that fit my feet and that are comfortable. I've been wearing Crocs for years and although I love them, they aren't the most attractive. I wanted sandals. I was skeptical that these Propet sandals would work for me but I ordered them anyway. They were Amazon Prime available plus free returns were offered. They are incredibly comfortable for my painful feet. They are cushioned perfectly. They straps are smooth and don't rub on my skin badly. The best part is that they come in a variety of wide widths. There are 3 straps across the top of the foot. Two of them are velcro and the other one has the conventional sandal strap. The only thing that I would have asked to be different would be for all 3 straps to be velcro. This would make it easier to put them on for those of us who are disabled and sometimes need help putting on shoes. However, I found that I could slip the strap up over my heal without undoing the strap so this isn't a problem at all. I love these sandals!
My mom has cerebral palsy and has very wide feet. She walks on her tip toes. She has mostly had to wear mens shoes her whole life. Or extra wide tennis shoes. I bought her these to try for vacation, and they fit her perfect! Didn’t hurt her feet and they supported her! She walked great and had no issues at all! Highly recommend for anyone who has issues with walking and finding shoes.
Sadly I returned these because they would not adjust as narrow as some of the other products Propet sells. Some straps were not velcro adjustable; hence, the reason for me returning the sandals.I love Propet but this style did not work for me (even though I did purchase the narrow).
Hard to find item in my size - these are perfect
My shoes smell so bad that my hubby doesn’t want me to wear them any more for fear there’s a cancer-causing chemic associated with tgeir manufacture. I’ve had them airing out with baking powder on them for several weeks in the hopes that the smell will dissipate, but it’s still lingering. There was no problem with the identical black pair I bought, so I find that fact very unusual.
