These are beautiful shoes that also give a lot of support for people with problem feet like mine. I have a very high arch and am prone to plantar fasciitis but these shoes/sandals let me do a lot of walking without giving my feet problems and I have also received several compliments on the look of the shoe. Do order a size larger as these run quite small. I was always under the impression that expensive things run big but in the case of Naot shoes this is not the case. I usually wear an American size eight and a half or nine and therefore thought a European size 40 would be fine but the 41 which is supposedly the equivalent of a size ten fit me perfectly.
Naots are well made and stay looking good for a long time. I have Rongo flats in (I think) all the colors they make. My Podiatrist recommended I go to a certain shoe store for good shoes and they introduced me to the Naot brand. Naots are my favorite flats of all the brands I have tried. I get compliments every time I wear them. Also I have a little osteoarthritis and my feet never get tired or sore when I wear them all day for walking, especially on trips.
I like the support and comfort. I’ll be wearing these for all occasions.
I wear a size 40 Schmal in Birkenstocks Flroida and Arizona, and a 41 in Naots Rongo.I purchased one pair of Rongo's at my local shoe store. Went back for another pair after I experienced the comfort of the first pair. The little store said that Rongo was being discontinued and they couldn't get anymore. I then found them at an on line shoe store. I purchased 3 pair from them. Then I found them on Amazon and purchased 2 more pair. I have duplicates of the Mirror color shoes. Total of 6 pair.I'm near 70 years old and have arthritis quit bad in my back, one knee is bone on bone, and my right foot is more than 1/2 size smaller than my left foot. These shoes stay on BOTH of my feet, they are cute and fun to wear. I don't feel like 70 and crippled when I'm wearing them.I also like that they are great for most any season unless we have more than an inch of snow on the ground.
I have this shoe in the dark blue and absolutely love it. It has excellent support for my very high arch and room in the toe box for my straight-across toes and the adjustable strap helps hold my narrow heel in place. Even though the foot bed is removable, I don't need to use my orthotic with these. I decided to order them in black and maybe even in another color. Unfortunately the black pair I received was surprisingly tight across the top of my toes- totally unlike the blue pair. These are too expensive to hope that they will stretch out. I was disappointed to have to return them.
Perfect spring shoes--covering the toes, while the rest of your foot can enjoy the breeze! I had to go a size up from my usual for these to fit-actually, 2 sizes up from my Naot Matai. I'm on the lookout for shoes that look nice--interesting, even--but that are comfortable, and these fit that bill. The finish is fun and unusual, but nonetheless neutral--a medium/dark bronze with dull silver trim. The company attached a little caveat saying that these would develop a "distressed" look with time--I'm interested in seeing how that develops--I suspect they'll have an even more interesting look! The only downside is the price, but that's Naot, and I'm sure I'll enjoy them for quite a while!
I wear a 8.5 in most shoes and a 39 in Dansko. I really should have listened to all the people who said to order a size up for this brand. The shoes were beautiful and I could tell they would have been so comfortable if they hadn't been too small. My heel barely fit in the end of the heel cup area and my pinkey toe and the one next to it on the end were smooched in a toe box that wasn't large enough. Not sure if I need the size 40 (am returning these and may reorder) or if I really just need Naot to make this style in a wide.
I love these shoes -- they are very comfortable. But I wanted to let other buyers know that Naot runs small. I wear size 38 in most European brands (Ecco, etc) and had to go one size up in Naot. I would recommend either trying their shoes at a store or ordering one size up. This model in size 39 is a great fit for me, even though I usually wear sz 38. Hope this helps. ETA -- I forgot to mention that the black dye bleeds. The dye is natural, so it's not stable. It doesn't bother me, but this is definitely something to consider when buying these.
