I was worried these would have a green tint because of the picture. But they are a true nude. These are good quality leather shoes. They are comfortable and nice enough to wear with a dress to church.
This is a great brand and it's worth the money, BUT it's so much better when you can find used, quality items on Amazon. I paid 25% of the retail price for my shoes and they are in great shape. Read the details before buying used off Amazon, but if it says "lightly worn" or "probably just returned and never worn outside" grab them if you can!
I was looking for a pair of sturdy, reliable, and comfortable flats that I could wear an entire day while walking around. These were a great find! I was afraid that the color would be tacky because this specific color (Paloma) was on sale for $34.99, whereas other colors went for $90. The color was fine, a dark brown with a silvery shine/foil - most likely not what I would've chosen if all of the choices were $34.99, but still wearable with many different outfits and not tacky at all. The shoes fit well (true 6.5) and were comfortable on first wear, but unfortunately my right foot is a bit bigger than my left, but not enough to be a size 7, so the shoe rubs in certain places on my right pinky toe and back Achilles tendon. Not the shoes' fault, so I consider this a solid purchase and would recommend them to anyone looking for basic, comfortable, higher-quality flats! I'll be potentially looking to see if Born sandals are as comfortable and dependable as these flats.
I just bought my third pair! I am a teacher and I walk an average of 2 miles per day on our campus. This is the most comfortable, well fitting and well made shoe I have found for work.
This shoe is great! I love having an alternative to heels that is comfortable and plain - no frilly things, nothing. The leather is soft, the shoe is bendable, and has good padding on the inside / bottom to keep me from being flat-footed all day (which typically leads to somewhat painful heels in other flat shoes for me). They go with anything and everything - which I LOVE. The match-factor adds way more value to the shoe for me since I don't want to have to stock up on every color in every shoe (due to a limited closet AND wallet). The first 2 days I wore them, the areas on the top where the shoe ended and the top of my foot was bare (not sure what to call that part) felt a little snug. When I would take the shoes off, I'd have a little red 'ring' or 'mark' on those areas. But that was really just 2 days, and it's meant to stretch and form to your foot. Which is exactly what it did : )I highly recommend these if you are in the market for a black flat. Well worth the money as I'll wear them a TON! I even want to buy another in a different color (which goes against my closet and wallet 'rule')!
These are the only pair of flats that I’ve ever found comfortable and stylish for my size 8.5 narrow feet that cover my long toes. I’ve bought a new pair every year since 2014! On my 7th pair now! They do polish up nicely too, if needed. I LOVE them! The only drawback is over time, they will begin to smell simply because your bare foot is snugly enclosed in leather. I just cut & place a dryer sheet inside of them before I slip them on & it resolves it. Hubby calls them my “stinky” shoes! Ha! But that’s when ya know it’s time to reorder a new pair.
I had such high hopes for these shoes, because they seem to be comfortable for so many people, and I loved my previous pair of Born flats in a similar style that they no longer seem to make. But these rub my Achilles' tendons raw, even wearing nylons :-( It's that weird piece at the back that sticks up higher than the rest of the shoe--what's with that? If not for that, I would have loved these! As it is, they're unwearable for me. My only other complaint was that the leather is very thin and soft, which is great except it's not sealed in any effective way against water/dirt (the finish separates along the grain of the leather when bent), so I suspect they would not last long without looking really beat up.
Fit and comfort,
