Love these shoes - fit is perfect, comfortable and great look for fall in California
I order black butter and on the box it says black butter, but is not what I order. I received the fancy black😞 but still is very comfortable shoes and very good arch support.
These are the best shoes I've ever had. They are really really well made... but besides that, they are crafted. They are shaped inside to cradle your foot. I was having trouble with mashed toes, no support, and walking on the outer sides of my feet all the time. These keep my feet straight. They do not mash my toes at all with the large toe box and the arch is amazing! I had to get used to wearing shoes that were so well made and it took a couple of days to become accustomed to it. The leather is thick and sturdy but the inside is so well made that nothing is rubbing or giving any blisters. They're perfect!
February 29, 2016:This is the first time that I have tried the Alegria Pesca, size 40M, Color: Bronze Easy.I like the fact that it is a mild rocker sole so that the chances of me twisting my ankle to the side is greatly reduced compared to the rocker sole of the Alegria Seville Pro (which is the first Alegria shoe that I tried and kept). Now, having said this, I don't know if the thinner sole will be as comfortable when I am walking for hours on a hard surface like sidewalks, concrete floors, etc. The Seville Pro offers more cushioning with the thicker rocker sole. Unfortunately it is winter where I live and I have only been wearing the shoes indoors. I will have to edit my review once I know more. The mild-rocker sole is just as comfortable as the full rocker sole. It is like walking on clouds. The size is another question. The length of the shoe is fine. I have never worn any larger than a size 10US (40EU), but I may have to consider the 10.5US (41EU) for this shoe. The toe box is adequate width-wise, but not depth-wise which I have since read that another reviewer made the same comment.. Also, a few reviewers mention that this style runs small, so the bigger size may be in order. I have a high instep, and I feel the shoe pressing down from my great toe all of the way up to my instep on both feet. This is bothersome as it cuts off my circulation just enough to make my toes fall asleep. I have come up with a solution, but it is not perfect. I have installed the older insoles from my Seville Pros, and this has taken off some of the pressure, but not enough. I have read other reviews on Amazon about the Alegria wide insoles making the regular Alegria shoe into a wide shoe. I am considering trying this as I cannot change my instep and I don't think that a bigger shoe will help (a size 41EU or 10.5US shoe has always been too big for my liking). I guess that I will have to let you know at a later date if I try the wide insole. The color takes some getting used to. It is called 'Bronze Easy', and it is shiny and has a greenish, coppery iridescence. I had orderedan Alegria Kayla Pro in the Bronze Vine colour that was shiny (I returned these shoes), but the color was more coppery. I thought the Bronze Easy would be the same, but it was not. It has taken a little getting used to.The style of the shoe is great with the cut-outs to keep my feet cool. Right now, as it is still winter, I am wearing them with socks in the house to break them in.March 1, 2016: I returned the Alegria Pesca shoes. I recently received a size 10.5US (41EU) Alegria Kayla Pro, and they are not too big. Except for the instep which I have to break-in, there are no other issues. I had previously tried the Kayla Pro in a size 10US (40EU), and they were not comfortable, so I returned them. I took a chance on trying the 10.5US (41EU). Therefore, I may have to try the Alegria Pesca in a size 10.5US (41EU) after all. I am glad that I sent the size 40EU Pesca back.
This shoe has a very comfortable, removable, cushioned foot bed with a very good arch support. The pewter is subtle metallic, and can go many places and be worn with many outfits. It is a cute shoe and a good one for mall shopping, out to eat, classroom teaching/learning, tending grouchy patients or just wearing for the fun of it. It is a pretty good walking shoe too. I love this shoe; however, I could not find a good fit. I have this shoe in pale blue and in grey; both in size 37. Both pair are a good fit. There is plenty of wiggle toe room, and the width is good. That is the size I first ordered in the pewter. It was much too small. I then ordered the black, size 38, from another online retailer. It was w-a-a-ay too big, and my feet almost slipped out when I walked. The heel is wide, and just may not get along with narrow heeled feet. Finding a good fit may be just pure luck in this particular style! This brand normally runs large. The strap allows for a bit of adjustability; however, that does not solve the problem of too small or too large size! Whew!
Love this style shoe and it’s very comfortable too.
Great shoe but I have one problem with Alegria shoes - the straps over the top of my foot. I have a very high arch and the strap is never long enough to go over my foot and Velcro to the shoe. One pair of Alegria shoes I took to a shoe repair store and asked them to sew Velcro to the strap to keep it on. They didn't want to do it but I insisted because the strap kept coming loose when I walked. Thank goodness I haven't had to resort to that yet with this shoe, although there is very little strap for error.Alegria needs to address this problem, I'm sure I'm not the only person with the same complaint.Other than that I love the shoe. Plenty of toe room and very comfortable!
Still not sure I’m keeping them. The look is perfect. They are difficult to put on due to a high instep, but once on they are comfortable. I have been wearing them with socks around the house to see if they will stretch out a little bit. I ordered them because my sister loves hers.
