Aerosoles You Betcha Ballet Flat, Nude Nubuck, 11 M US Review

I was hesitant to buy these based on all the reviews that said they were too small but I really liked their appearance so I figured I’d give them a try. I don’t have time to mess around with trying to guess what size I should order, so I initially planned to order my normal size. I wear a 7.5 in everything, however only Size 7.5 Wide was available in the color I wanted. I don’t have a wide foot, but I do have a painful condition at the base of my big toe on my right foot which can sometimes be helped with a wider shoe, so I decided to try the 7.5W. Surprisingly, they fit well. These are definitely not wide shoes, however. Unless you have a narrow foot, I suggest that anyone with a normal width foot order these in a wide width because the sizing of the shoes I received leads me to believe the normal width in this style must be very narrow.Even though the fit was great, the top of the back of the shoe dug in to my heels. It’s not that the shoe is short for the size. The top edge is finished with a rolled edge which felt quite uncomfortable against my heels. Since these are leather, I asked my husband to stretch that part of the shoe for me the evening before I wanted to wear them the first time. The stretching helped, but they did still dig in a little the first time I wore them. I used bandaids on my heels for the first few wearings, and after that the leather had stretched enough that the edge was no longer causing discomfort. They are now very comfortable to wear.They’re made of a nice, supple leather and the cutouts allow my feet to breathe, keeping them cool and comfortable to wear without socks. The soles are nicely cushioned and so far the cushions haven’t broken down or become flattened. I found that once broken in, the leather upper has molded to the shape of my foot and I really enjoy wearing them due to the comfort.I’m very fond of the rosy pink color of these shoes. They are adorable with skinny jeans when I want to add a little pop of color, as well as with casual dresses and skirts. Even the cutouts in the leather add a bit of style. In my opinion, they’re a great conservative shoe with just a touch of flair.Now that these are broken in, I really adore them. The loafer look is something that - as a young (20-something) professional - I'm new to. I'm at a place where I'm trying to dress more mature so I'll be taken seriously, but also not look like a child in my mother's clothing; a happy middle place that's fashionable and trendy, but sophisticated. After seeing these and reading reviews, I thought they looked like the type of thing I needed and I got the impression that the brand had a reputation for prioritizing comfort. Perfect in theory... AND in practice.I wore these around town today for the first time and I actually forgot I was wearing new shoes. There's no 'breaking in' necessary because they're extremely comfortable from the start. I don't mean to sound cheesy, but it was almost like walking on a cloud compared to most flats like this (or at least like walking in slippers). I was looking for shoes that fit a young, trendy lifestyle that I could walk around all day in for work and still look professional - these were a great purchase for my needs. Great price point for the quality of prodcut, too. Yes, they're a rubbery sort of material, but they breathe, thanks to all the little holes! They honestly feel like a mix between sandals and house slippers.They are also VERY true to size, and I'm SO happy they offer half sizes because I usually have to settle for rounding up or down. These shoes did not disappoint.

I really loved these shoes right out of the box. The leather is incredibly soft and fits your foot like a glove with no possibility of future blisters. They are so adorable, but are a bit more flat than they appear in the pictures. I don't need lots of arch support necessarily, but my heel has to be elevated just a bit. The interior memory foam lining of the shoe is rather flat and I could feel my feet starting to hurt. If you don't need lots of arch support or elevated heel, these shoes would be perfect for you! They just didn't work out for me unfortunately. True to size.

Oh my goodness are these shoes nice! They feel so soft and buttery. I want them in another color. If you have wide feet, these might not be great for you. But they're not bad for me. And they fit ever so slightly longer but my 11 will still fit great. I haven't worn them out of the house yet, but they feel like they'll conform to my feet. They look and feel so great! I can't wait to wear them to work Monday!!I can't speak to the quality of the shoes yet though.***UPDATE***I have worn these for a couple weeks now and still love them! They seem to be holding up great.

I'm a huge Aerosoles fan, so when I was looking for a single pair of (relatively inexpensive) comfy and cute shoes that would see me through a 7 week travel/research trip abroad this summer, I instantly gravitated towards these loafers. They really hit the mark for the needs of my trip (they were the only daily-wear shoes I brought with me): I could walk for hours around cities and museums without aching feet, and they looked stylish and professional enough to wear during meetings or nicer meals.However, because I was wearing them constantly, problems with the make of the shoe also revealed themselves. While the loafers fit well to begin with, they had stretched so much by the end of my trip that they were practically falling off my feet with every step. The rubber soles did not hold up too well (far less than other day-to-day shoes I've owned, including other Aerosoles shoes), and the leather became so worn down at the seams of the shoe that there were holes at the toe and sides by the time I got back (in spite of the fact that they had stretched so much!).In sum: these loafers are cute, comfortable, and not too expensive - a great and versatile shoe to have in your rotation (I might recommend sizing down slightly, as they stretch quite a bit). However, if you're planning on wearing them frequently and/or doing extensive walking in them, they might not be the best choice.
