The standout feature, undoubtedly, is its waterproof GORE-TEX liner, which works effectively to keep moisture at bay. Coupled with a fleece-lined insole, it ensures warmth during the coldest rides.
This shoe doesn’t compromise on functionality with its grippy MICHELIN rubber outsole, offering reliable traction whether you're navigating slick roads or rugged terrains. The torsional TORBAL midsole is another highlight, providing flexibility and letting your feet move naturally, which is crucial during descents. This design aspect greatly enhances control and comfort, reducing fatigue over long distances.
Adjustability is made easier thanks to the BOA L6 dial mechanism; it offers fast and precise fitting adjustments, ensuring that the shoe hugs your foot securely without causing discomfort. While the SH-MW701 comes with a higher price tag, the benefits of comfort, warmth, and grip it provides are worth considering for serious cyclists who ride year-round.

I’m one of those types that have really poor circulation in my feet and hands. Any ride below 45 degrees and for longer than 30 minutes usually results in COLD and/or freezing toes. Not with these shoes tho. With some thing wool socks these things kept my feet warm through any length ride. It’s also water proof so that helps out tremendously. I’ve ridden it through creek beds that come up to the tops and my feet has always stayed dried and toasty. It also makes it easy to stay down the shoes in the winter after a ride since water doesn’t seep in. I’ve ridden it in temperatures below 30F, with wind chills down to high 20s and it’s kept my feet warm. It’s pricey but well worth if your feet has a tendency to always run cold.As for fit, my size is a 41 and it was slightly bigger than my other 41 sized shoes but that’s fine because you do want some extra space if you want to wear thicker socks in the winter. I did test it with regular summer socks and the fit was still great. As with any winter type shoes, it will be clunky when compared to summer cycling shoes BUT it’s definitely no where near as clunky as bike shoes made for enduro and/or AM biking.I also plan on using these shoes when I use my road bike.
I love these boots, very comfortable and warm. There even ok to walk/ hike in, better than any ide bike shoe I've had. Very easy to get on and off and adjust with the boa and velcro. I definitely need these on cold mornings.
Amazing shoe. A little too narrow for me. Not nearly as narrow as Giro shoes though.
