The Lake Cx238 Wide Cycling Shoe is a notable evolution from the previous CX237 model, incorporating enhancements that cater specifically to the needs of passionate cyclists. Designed with a wide fit that is 15mm broader than the standard version, these shoes promise not only comfort but also performance during intense rides.
The Competition last ensures an excellent fit, combining a slimmer heel and a wider forefoot. This design accommodates foot expansion when the pressure mounts, which is particularly crucial during long rides or competitive events. The Race carbon fiber sole further elevates your cycling experience by delivering the stiffness required for optimal power transfer while maintaining durability.
Additionally, protective panels at the heel and a rubber bumper at the toe work to prevent premature wear on the full-grain leather upper. With mesh panels and strategic venting, the Cx238 provides much-needed cooling, making it perfect for those hot summer days on the road.

Fit and Comfort: The Lake Cx238 excels in providing a comfortable fit thanks to its wide design. The combination of a slimmer heel and a wider toe box means that you can ride longer without experiencing discomfort. If you often struggle with shoes that are too tight across the forefoot, this shoe may be the solution you've been searching for.
Performance: When it comes to performance, the carbon fiber sole plays a vital role. It offers exceptional stiffness, ensuring that each pedal stroke translates effectively into forward motion. Cyclists looking to maximize their power output will appreciate how well this shoe performs during climbs and sprints.
Durability: The materials used in the Cx238 have been selected with longevity in mind. The full-grain leather upper, combined with thoughtful protective elements like the rubber bumper, helps maintain the shoe's integrity over time. You can expect these shoes to withstand the rigors of regular use in various weather conditions.
Ventilation: The inclusion of mesh panels aids in ventilation, which is crucial for keeping your feet cool during extended rides. This feature is especially beneficial on warm days when overheating can lead to discomfort.

My feet are 11.5 US 4E in walking shoes. I purchased the 46.0 EU wide fit. They were just a little tight in width. Sooo, I did return them (great return policy, thank you) and purchased the Lake extra wide (3E) directly from Lakes website, sorry Amazon. With about 5 or so hours of riding, no numbness or foot pain. Now I'm not constantly struggling with foot position. And enjoying foot pain free riding. I hope this helps. Being comfortable finely is nice.
