The Giro Sector Cycling Shoe stands out in the realm of cycling footwear with its cutting-edge Synchwire upper, creating a snug yet adaptable fit that responds to your foot's shape. This feature is particularly beneficial for those long rides where comfort is paramount. The dual L6 Boa dials offer precise adjustments, allowing you to fine-tune the tightness without hassle. This responsiveness helps prevent pressure points, a common complaint among cyclists.
When it comes to power transfer, the injection-molded carbon short fiber outsole delivers phenomenal stiffness, ensuring that every watt of energy is effectively translated into forward motion. Additionally, the insert molded rubber treads enhance grip off the bike, making it easier when you need to navigate through variable terrain.
Ventilation is another key highlight of the Giro Sector, thanks to its laser-cut venting windows, which help regulate temperature during intense sessions. The die-cut EVA insole provides adequate cushioning, helping to absorb shock while pedaling.
However, potential buyers should consider that this shoe might feel stiff initially, as is typical with high-performance cycling footwear. While the price may deter some casual riders, serious enthusiasts will appreciate the technology packed into these shoes.

I wasn't sure about these shoes at first because you can make them as tight as you want to the point they hurt your feet. It took some time to get used to the right tension so my feet don't move in the shoe with it being comfortable. Now I absolutely love them.
As a sneaker head, cycling shoes have seemed like a missed opportunity to incorporate all of the comfort-tech that is being widely used by all the major brands. These shoes seem to have bucked that trend. They’re very very comfortable in all the right spots. The BoA system ensures this. Easy to clean, allow feet to breathe and the performance can be felt with each stroke. They are stiff and supple. I’d buy these again and look forward to Giro’s future offerings.
These are fantastic clip in cycling shoes. I started with SPD cleats, so stick with it even though I ride a road bike. I find the power transfer much easier in these shoes than my previous shoes. On top of that, they are easy to walk around in when off the bike. The lacing system is great and provides a better tight fit while riding.
Nice shoes, well built, look really nice—but they are super narrow. My feet are pretty average in width, have always worn standard width shoes with no problem. These were so narrow that even with the laces loosened up so that I could fit in them, the uppers pulled in a way that created a painful hotspot on my left foot within 1 minute (felt like a burning hot needle being shoved into my foot) while casually standing around. Unless your feet are clearly on the skinny side, I wouldn’t recommend these.
Great fit, comfortable and stiff pedaling.I went up a half size 11.5 to 12.
A very well designed shoe that provides great function and fit. This version of the BOA closure on the upper and lower portion of the shoe make for a very secure and custom fit. Would definitely buy again.
These fit great and are super comfortable. I’ve only worn them on a few rides before the weather got bad for the winter. I️ bought them for a two week bike tour that a friend of mine and I are planning. I think they will fit the bill; they are good for cycling and I can still walk like a normal person in these bike shoes.
