These offer good comfort ability , and grip. Most importantly they are pretty durable. Every pedal/shoe combo will give you different outcomes with grip. I rock concave pins and these flat soles lock it super well. 4 rides and there some and has wear from 10 mm outer pins. I use these for enduro or light downhill
