When it comes to mountain biking, having the right footwear is crucial, and the Giro Gauge Men Clipless Mountain Bike Shoes rise to the occasion. The integration of a BOA micro-adjustable buckle allows for swift adjustments, which is invaluable when you need to tighten or loosen your fit quickly while on the go.
The fit of these shoes is another significant highlight; the combination of breathable mesh and reinforced materials ensures not only comfort but also resilience against wear and tear. Riders will appreciate the balance between flexibility and support, especially during climbs or technical descents.
Furthermore, the injected nylon inner shank plays a vital role in power transfer. It helps convert all your pedaling effort directly into speed, making your rides more efficient. Coupled with the high-traction rubber outsole, you can confidently tackle rough terrains knowing your footing is secure.
However, it’s essential to note that while these shoes excel in many areas, some users report that they run slightly small, so trying them on or checking size guides is advisable. The premium pricing might also deter casual bikers, but for serious cycling enthusiasts, the investment could be worth it for enhanced performance.

Really nice shoes, these are even comfortable to walk around in if needed. The clip is recessed so it stays off the floor. The quick adjustment is nice to tighten shoes on the fly. They seem well made. Only con is the seem to fit a bit tight in the toe. I’d still order your normal size for length, but if you have a wide foot these probably won’t work.
Man, I love these shoes! I'm 61 years old, and this is the first time using clipless shoes and pedals. I find them a lot easier to pop in and out of than I thought I would. These particular shoes fit the style of a gravel bike, which my bike is. I like the BOA adjustment on them. I have had them on my snowboard boots for years, and thought they might be a gimic on a bicycle. But, I can tighten them on the fly, and I do more than I thought I would. The cleat doesn't hit the floor when I am walking on them and they look like a casual shoe, other than the BOA. But that's a conversation piece, haha.
I figured these would be a bit narrow, I normally wear a 11 wide, but bought the size 12 hoping it would help. it's still too narrow but if i leave them a bit loose, they are comfortable for longer rides.they do look great, they clip into my crankbrothers mallets well and you can adjust the tightness with one hand while clipped in and riding.I really wish Giro (or other companies) offered wide shoes more frequently. minus one star for this.
The shoes are very stiff and narrow. The tensioner works well.
I was looking for BOA Shoes with the Wheel on Top and had nearly given up. They're working Beautifully. I'm aged 73 with a Diabetic Belly and find it extremely difficult to reach Side Wheel BOA Shoes. And equally beneficial, the Pedal Clips are placed Deep Enough up inside the Soles that they don't Hit and Slide on the Floor. (Previous Shoe & Clip design required Attaching / Removing Rubber Boots from the Clips; Dirty and Inconvenient). Thank you so much for making these shoes available.
Used these for 26 rides, about 550 miles., then the BOA broke. The fit was great. I am size 11 1/2 US and purchased a size 46 Euro.Contacting seller, Cycle World Miami. Will update this review with the reply.** I contacted Cycle World Miami, they referred me to Giro because I was out of the return period. Giro referred me to BOA, because the a BOA is guaranteed for life. From the BOA website I clicked warranty return and was immediately directed to a simple form that I filled out and was immediately shipped up a BOA repair kit.**Happy customer.
I wear 14 in adidas and most of brands (except Nike), I been buying cycling shoes for a while since my first buy I realized that all cycling shoes runs smaller, so I ALWAYS buy 15 (50 EUR) when ordering online, knowing that the shoes fit as expected, they are so comfortable and feel strong, will do an update after a couple of months of usage so far I'm happy with my purchase
After reading all the reviews saying these shoes are narrow, small toe box, and to order a size larger, I did just that. I am a size 11 and ordered a 12. I don't consider my feet either narrow or wide, but these were way to big, returned them, an 11 would work better. Looked like very good quality shoe.
