The Giro Blaze Winter Cycling Shoe excels in providing both warmth and protection against the elements. When you’re out on those frigid winter mornings, the insulation combined with the heat-reflective insole ensures your feet stay warm throughout your ride. The nylon-composite plate offers excellent stiffness, which translates into efficient power transfer to the pedals, making every push count.
In terms of weatherproofing, the rubber outer material effectively prevents moisture from seeping in, allowing you to focus on the road ahead rather than worrying about wet socks. Additionally, the dual-injected 'Ice Grip' outsole delivers impressive grip on icy surfaces, giving you the confidence to navigate tricky winter trails.
One notable aspect of the Blaze shoe is its reflective detailing, which significantly enhances visibility during early morning or late evening rides. Safety should always come first, especially when biking in less than ideal lighting conditions.
However, the bulkiness of the shoe may take some getting used to if you are accustomed to lighter footwear. The zipper closure system is practical but some cyclists prefer the security of traditional laces or BOA systems. Nevertheless, cleaning the shoes is hassle-free, as they can be machine washed, which is a huge plus for any cyclist who faces messy conditions.

Bought thses because they are marketed as cold weather shoes and there seems to be a dearth of such bike shoes on the market. NOT. They are not warm in even moderate cold (mid 30s). They are also cheaply made, VERY poorly designed and outrageously overpriced for what they are. On top of that, they're uncomfortable to wear or walk/drive in.
fits good, looks great. The big issue is that these shoes are not fully waterproof. water seeped into the shoe from the bottom or near the bottom and wet out the insoles a bit.
