Very comfortable shoes for gravel, street riding or mountain biking. They stay on the pedals well.
I ride 10miles each way for work on an ebike and my feet were really hurting with regular shoes. A year ago, I bought the FiveTen Freerider's which were very good for support but they looked clunky and like grandpa shoes, absolutely horrible. Somehow I found a youtube video on these shoes and figured I check them out and they are GREAT! Very comfortable, stiff soles but not like cardboard, look good, and can be walked in comfortably. One thing is, they fit kind of big. I wear 8.5 and bought that size. They are a little too big. I am returning to buy a size 8 for Summer months. UPDATE: I bought the size 8 and they were too small, so I returned them and am sticking with the slightly too large 8.5size. Still loving them!
Size down with these, I read other reviews and I'm typically a 7.5 and got a 7 and honestly could have gone down another size. Other than that the shoes are GREAT! Very durable and keep my feet secure and comfortable while biking. I ride MTB and these grip perfectly on my pedals and work as intended! Get em while they last, great purchase!!
Perfect for mountain bike if you don't use cleats. They are stiff buy very comfortable, fashionable and spacey!
Great shoe, love the design, breathable, performs as expected. Sizing: ended with ordering down to size 8. My usual running shoe size is 9. It has minimal ankle collar padding so my skinny ankles still have a little wiggle room. Cannot wear thick socks as the forefoot fits snugly. But still have length in toe.
Gamechanger! I recently switched from a casual bike rider to cycling for exercise, so I decided to see if cycling shoes would make a difference over my usual sneakers. I purposely looked for cycling shoes that did not clip to the pedals and were walkable. These fit the bill and I have been amazed by how well the bottom tread keeps my foot in the correct position on the pedals with very little slippage, if any. The high ankle feels very secure and adds support. As far as walkability, I wouldn't want to walk any distance in them, but since a nearby grocery store is right off the bike path I can pick up a few groceries and not worry about slipping on the flooring. I even put a better insole for my high arches inside in these, although a insole with a softer bottom is best since the carbon-fiber or plastic liner under the insole that makes the pedal pressure dissipate over the entire foot instead of just in the pedal area will cause squeaking if you put a harder insole in. I normally wear a size 9, knowing to size down from other reviewers I ended up ordering an 8, since an 8.5 wasn't available at the time. The 8 just fits my narrowish foot, if I planned on doing a lot of walking in these I might have wanted that 8.5, but for my use they are good. I have a feeling the 8.5 might have felt a little sloppy anyway. Overall very pleased with these cycling shoes.
EU sizing is pretty accurate, so order according to EU size. Great fit and feel. Stiffer sole makes it perfect for flat pedaling. Less bulky than the Freerider so it pairs well with closer fitting casual wear.
I usually wear a size 8, so I got a 7.5 and they fit fine. A bit of extra room in the toe but they are VERY narrow so I think that’s a good thing. Lots of ankle support and the soles are super sticky. Plus they look way better than most mountain bike shoes!! Once you break them in, they feel as amazing as they look.
