I wear these boots at least 40 hours a week and they are extremely comfortable. I've been wearing them for around 3 months and they have held up great. Technically I'm supposed to wear safety toe boots but in 24 years as an electrician I've never had any hazards to my toes and these boots were cute on top of being comfortable. I have gotten a couple of questions about the color but I just tell them real men wear pink lol. 💕
As is typical of Keen, the toe box is nice and wide. I struggled a bit to get my left foot into the boot as the tongue doesn’t lift all the way up. I’m guessing this is to keep the boot waterproof. My left foot has been through some trauma and surgeries, so it was a struggle to bend my foot enough to slide it in. But with some wiggling, I was able to get it in. The top of the boot is a bit tight over the mid top of my left foot. But again, my foot has had some struggles. It isn’t painful, so I’m going to wear them around the house for a few days to see if it loosens up as I break them in. My right foot felt great! I swapped the insoles out for my custom orthotics, and while the left is still a tad tight, things feel better. Nice ankle support (I had hardware in my ankle and have a history of fractures so I’m prone to rolling my ankle- ankle support is a must for me). My old hiking boots were Ahnu’s and I was struggling over whether to buy these Keens or not as historically, I’ve felt Keens were heavy and clunky. They do feel a bit clunkier than am used to, but for the sale price, it’s not a full stop for me. I wish I could have got a half size bigger as I don’t think I will be able to wear super thick socks, but I tried them on with medium weight smart wool socks and my big toes were not touching the end. The real test will be going downhill, so we’ll see how they do next weekend. Overall, I think I will be happy with them once they wear in.
I recieved these Keen 9.5 wide for my birthday and was let down because it seemed Keen was off on sizing or my feet widened even further. I requested return and forgot about them. Two weeks later still in the box, I really wanted them to work out because they looked good and really new and at 48.00 Amazon Renewed and 100.00 less than advertised I began wearing them in slowly each day and I compared them to my previous Keen boots also renewed and loved, they feel great now and I'm so so glad because they are waterproof and perfect for my summer treks 2023! This is my first taller version of Keen and my ankles don't feel bound. I love merrell and Keen and I live close to a Merrell outlet store but if I'm patient Amazon Renewed has always always sent me new or once worn purchases and always beats the other "outlet" pricing. There are 2 reasons I love Amazon Renewed, I like to recycle and get somewhat worn in boots, and the price, of course. The secret is patience waiting for someone else's return. I'm so glad I waited to return these. If you have a wide foot like me, good 9.5 wide hiking and riding boots are hard to find. Tens are easy to find but they are always too long and thin. Happy Amazon Renewed hunting! I have to add at first the only thing I noticed weird was a few water stains. I used olive oil and lightly coated them and the color became uniform. The toe box is always appreciated and these Keens have plenty.
Dislike. States they are a wide size which they are not.
I ordered wider size to accommodate thicker socks for hiking. It is perfect!
It's a great hiker except for me it was a whole size to long. The toe box is wide enough as long as you buy it in wide but the midfoot is narrow and so is the heel cup. I have to remove the insole to insert my custom orthotics so that gives me even more room in the toe box. If you have bunions and wide feet buying them in wide is a must and you could get away with a 1/2 size bigger to accommodate thick socks also. I have purchased keen saddles before in size 9 and I have bought this hiking boot in a 9 because a size 10, which I usually buy in hiking boots, was much to long. Other then that the boot is very well made and the bottom treads give alot of traction.
I love the style ad the color, but i adore the warmth and the sturdyness !
From having read numerous reviews of different styles of Keen hiking boots, it is apparent that quality control has gone downhill.I have had a pair of Keen hiking boots for 8 years, and they have been all over the world with me. I still wear them, as they are comfortable, in great shape, and still waterproof beyond any Goretex shoe I have ever purchased. At that time they were made in the US, but not anymore. So I was hoping to find a new pair, for when my old pair finally die.I am still in the process of of trying different Keen styles, having now tried 5 different ones. The sizing, fit, and comfort vary significantly, even 2 pairs that were identical in style and size. Poor consistency. The Circadia boot is comfortable, although it could have a cushier footbed, with more arch support, and it is attractive. If it wasn't for the negative reviews, I would say they look well made, similar to my old pair, but I am very concerned about so many soles peeling off Keen's boots, and that many boots were not waterproof. But since I have only tried them on briefly, and indoors, I cannot comment on that yet. What is a concern, and really my only one so far, is that the tongue is not wide enough to tuck snuggly under the sides of the boot, and I have fairly skinny ankles. Maybe this will not be an issue, but unlike all the other syles, where the tongues were wide enough, it is what is preventing me from making the final decision to keep or return these boots. One more consideration: according to some of the reviews, apparently Keen stands behind their products and will issue a refund for defective items. That knowledge is helpful, as it may take a year for the boot to fall apart, hopefully it won't, and then returns to Amazon are no longer possible, so Keen's policy might be the saving grace in taking a chance in buying their comfy boots.
