I bought these in black, patent leather, and I'm very pleased! A lot of patent leather on the market today is either plastic, or plastic coated, but these appear to be full leather uppers that breathe, flex and mold comfortably to the foot. In fact, when I first put them on, they seemed a little bit tight, but they quickly warmed on my foot and came to fit as if they'd been made for me.The craftsmanship is beautiful, with careful, small, even stitching and finished seams, and they boast a fully leather lined, very cushion-y, removable insole. They're exceedingly comfortable. If I could, I'd give these 10 stars.By the way, if your loafers are a bit narrow, just take a blow dryer and heat them on its hottest setting, then put them on over socks and walk around the house in them. They'll soon fit like a glove!
I really love how cute and comfortable, once broken in, these Clark’s loafers are. They are perfect for work! The black patent is very snappy. The only issue I ran into is that the toe box is narrow. I have a medium width foot and typically wear a 10m in Clarks. I was surprised when this was narrow at the toe. I would suggest going up half a size, if possible. There wasn’t an option for 10.5m, so I kept the 10 and have had some success breaking them in by wearing Extra thick socks with in them while walking around in my house. This tightness could be because of the patent material, the leather style is probably much quicker to break in.
I have the same shoe in black leather. It's a well made loafer. If it was available in 7 W, it may work. I'm not a true W but the 7.5M does not appear to be true M. I double checked the label thinking, it must be a N.I'd like this loafer in brown leather, size 7W or 7.5M, though it doesn't appear to be available.
These are a really nice quality shoe, comfortable, great metallic color, and great fit. I can wear a Med width in some shoes, but going for real comfort, the Wide is perfect for me. Love these and I bought 2 pairs. So inexpensive. Just happen to get them at the right time and in my size and free shipping for about $35 for both. Great shoe.
A very nice looking shoe you can dress up or dress down. Good support and cushion. Lightweight. But...the toe box is too shallow (i.e. it's not very tall); I can feel my big toenail up against the top of the toe box, and I don't have long toenails. Also the shoe overall runs narrow. Barefoot or thin stockings the shoe is ok (except for the toe box issue), but even a thin sock makes the shoes way too tight. I've had plenty of Clarks shoes, and these are a very "slim" style.
I have worn Clarks for most of my adult life and I have always been a 7.5 Medium. That is one of the reasons I loved ordering Clarks because I knew they would fit if I ordered them online. That did not hold true with this pair. They were much smaller and narrower than all the others. I went to reorder them and there are no wide shoes in this style. The possible date of availability is in over a month at a much higher price. The shoes are beautiful which made the disappointment that much greater.
First of all, it is not clarks, but its sub brand unstructured. The quality is good. Leather upper and inner. I love this shoe! I’m a 5.5 with wide and high arch. The size is just good for me. The arch is just great for me, not as tight as many other loafers I’ve tried. The width is also great for me. More importantly, it does not grid my heel on first try!! This is amazing!!!
When I first received the product, the shoe felt stiff and the sides were "brushing" on my ankle and had to use bandaids. However, once I wore the shoe couple of times, no longer felt the stiffness and did not have to use bandaids. It does make some clicking noise when walking on hardfloor which may be bothersome for some. Good foot support (as all Clarks products do) and my feet do not get tired very easily despite standing for hours (trust me, have a job that requires standing for at least 6 hours!)
