Dressy, comfortable, durable. Also, my custom arch supports fit nicely. The innersoles are removable. Highly recommend these if you have to use custom arch supports. If you don't, they are wonderfully comfortable with the standard insoles that come with the shoes. I need a 9 1/2 C-width shoe, and the medium with works perfectly for me in my normal 9 1/2 size.
I absolutely love, love, love these shoes. I now have 4 pairs of them in different colors. They are an attractive shoe and the fit is wonderful. There is plenty of room in the toe box so your toes aren't squished. The arch support is very good also. There is a zipper if you need it to get the shoes on, but I haven't had to use it, I just slip my foot into the shoes and head out. The foot bed is very comfortable, nice support but feels very soft under your feet. I've worn sneakers for years so my feet have gotten wider but the medium fits like it was made for me. As I said,, I now have 4 pairs and I'm thinking of buying a couple more to keep in case they discontinue making this shoe. My recommendation is BUY THIS SHOE IN MULTIPLES, YOU WON'T BE SORRY!
Loved the look of these sneakers - a bit more dressed up than regular sneakers, but with all the comfort. Clarks is a favorite brand of mine, always providing great support and quality construction and materials. They do, typical to Clarks sizing, run a tad large, but since I plan on wearing them with socks it's not an issue for me. Really sharp looking.
I really wanted to love these sneakers. Adored the style and the rose suede color. The zipper made it easy to get on & off; however the sneaker wasn't as soft as I expected the suede to be and they did run at least 1/2 a size large. I also found them to be very stiff and they rubbed the back of my ankle every time I took a step. If I lived in a cooler climate where I could wear a thick sock with them I would have reordered them a half size smaller. Considering reordering in the black leather, with anticipation they would be softer than the suede. As I live in South Florida and rarely if ever wear socks and believing Peds or Thorlo low cut ankle socks would have been insufficient to prevent a blister on the back of my ankle. Sad to have to pass on this sneaker, especially after all of the great reviews.
The photo didn't readily show that the brown has trim in the form of a gold band across the instep and at the heel cup. The gold isn't really gaudy, it just adds a touch of elegance and whimsy to what might otherwise be a very boring shoe. As to fit, it isn't so much they run large, they are just a little bit roomy, at least tome in size 11. Note the EU size is normally 42 for the US size 11, on the box for these it says 42 1/2, so I believe they may if anything be one-half size to the larger. All that aside they are very comfortable, no squeezing here.
Bought these for my daughter for a recent trip to Europe. She loved them. Super comfy. Really cute, even better in person. Pretty warm too, as the weather was colder than we expected. I only wish I bought myself a pair!
This shoe has a comfortable footbed and is reasonably cute for a pretty orthopedic shoe, but it runs very large compared to other Clarks Unstructured. I'm an 8.5 or 9 in most shoes, but in Clarks, I've always worn an 8. So Clarks already run larger than most shoes, but they're pretty consistent across the brand. But these were far too large in an 8. So instead of Clark's usual 1/2 size larger than marked, these are 1.5 to 2 sizes larger than marked. The shoe was also stiff around the ankles and dug into my ankle bone. Thick socks partly fixed these problems, but the fit was still not great, and I hadn't planned to wear them with thick socks.
I use these in the fall and winter to wear around running errands, and for work. They're easy to slip on and look good enough to wear to work if I need to. Basic, good quality, decent tread. I hope to get a few years of wear out of them.
