The Clarks Women's Channing Essa Loafer excels in multiple categories that matter most to modern women. Starting with comfort, this loafer provides immediate wearability thanks to its cushioned footbed. Many users have noted that they experienced no discomfort even after hours of standing or walking.
When it comes to style, the classic black leather design is adaptable. You can pair it with business attire for work or dress it down with jeans for casual outings. The loafers transition seamlessly from day to night, allowing for versatile use.
In terms of durability, the quality of the materials used speaks volumes. The leather upper is not only stylish but also built to withstand daily wear and tear, which adds to the long-term value of your investment.
However, a minor drawback is the fit; some reviews suggest that those with wider feet might find these loafers to be a bit tight, especially around the midfoot area. This aspect might require consideration when selecting the right size.

I typically wear an 8 or an 8.5. Based on the reviews I read, I did go with the 8.5 for this shoe and they fit perfectly so if you're an in betweener like me, just go with the bigger size. These are a decent quality shoe without the high price tag. I do have an office job, so am not on my feet constantly all day. But I do wear these shoes, 5 days a week about 10 hours each day with moderate walking during that time and they are holding up wonderfully. No scuffs, no peeling, support is good after a few months, and my feet feel good.I have had Clarks shoes in the past and have had nothing but good luck with them. The same holds true for these. Overall, I am very satisfied and I will continue to purchase Clarks in the future!
I love these shoes. I have feet that are between regular and wide and these fit well, and they’re very comfortable. I wore them several hours on the first day with no problems. Over the past 6 weeks they have remained comfortable and look great. The smooth black leather is good quality. The slight heel is great for me since I’m 5’1”. Looks nice with jeans or work pants. I have several comfortable pairs of other styles of Clark’s shoes that I have worn for years. Recently I read that people have had problems with some styles of Clark’s shoe fit and quality, so I was leery of buying them online. I solved this by using Prime wardrobe and ordering 3 pairs of Clark’s shoes that I liked. All were ones with good reviews and I was able to compare the fit and quality in my home. This made choosing so easy and I found these shoes were exactly what I was looking for.
Bought these for work- sped preschool teacher. After several months they are still in good shape. They don’t hold up to wood chips and need to be polished regularly, but that is true of all my shoes like this. Suede works better in wood chips.I have foot pain and these were great at first, but it has progressed (not the shoes fault) and I need orthotics. These don’t have removable insert and I don’t want to rip it out, so these are temporarily being put aside for another pair of Clark’s.Arch support is ok, I need more. If I had bought Clark’s years ago, I probably would have this problem. Cheap shoes and lots of walking were the problem. If you don’t currently have feet issues, get these to prevent. If you do, look for a removable insert in case like me, you have to step it up- pun intended.
I call this "little" because I feel like they make my size 9.5 feet look smaller. Very comfortable with little break-in time. Cute with various pants and jeans. Only comment is I'd like the mid-foot support to be stronger, similar to Ariat with the ATS support. Overall very nice soft leather shoe at a great price.
Have worn them to work, comfortable so far for walking and standing. I like that they have a bit of style for a clig type. I typically run an average 8 1/2 to 9 , got these in a 9 and they fit perfect. I do beleive the 8 1/2 would have been too small, so if you are borderline you may want to order up slightly. I also can see these being tight on the top of the foot for someone who has a really thick foot or high arch so if you have trouble with that sort of thing it may be something to watch out for.
I really wanted for these shoes to work for me because they are nice looking and have just the right-sized heel I needed. However, I had to return them because they were surprisingly too small, and therefore very uncomfortable. My toes felt scrunched, and the top of my foot felt squeezed in. I even left the zipper open, hoping that would relieve some of the pressure, but it didn't help much. Hopefully the next pair of Clarks I buy (in a different style) will work better!
Great shoes! I highly recommend! I've had these for two years, now, and have worn them a lot and they still look brand new. Clarks are so comfortable, too! Why wear shoes that hurt your feet when there are Clarks available?!
These extremely comfortable shoes the perfect length and width, and the toe box is generous. There is plenty of room for winter socks! Also, the arch support is tremendous and the sturdy wedge is just high enough to alleviate my plantar fasciitis. No orthotics needed! In fact, these shoes are perfect!! Thank you, Clark's!!!
