The ara Rachel is a beautiful shoe, well-made and like a slipper on the foot. The 10M fit me well, unlike the ara Bennett, which was way too wide in the heel, causing extreme slippage. The insole is glued,(although I do believe that it could be carefully removed), and quite comfortable. It did not, however, provide me with the arch and metatarsal support/padding I need in a shoe, but which could be remedied by substituting my Aetrex insoles. The heel height was good. The sole squeaked a bit on my hardwood floors, but not much. The tassels do make a tiny bit of noise, but, again, not much. All in all, a very nice shoe. I said that it was not a shoe I could walk any real distance in because I could envision the shoe, which does stretch a bit, stretching further. The slipper-like feel, which doesn't provide a lot of lateral support, would become more pronounced. As I need a shoe that I can walk distances in on uneven surfaces for my upcoming Great Britain/European trip, I regretfully am sending them back. If I were buying them for office wear, or mall-shopping, I would definitely keep them.
There is nothing not to love about these shoes. I have them in every color except burgundy and I'm considering getting the burgundy, even though I have absolutely nothing to wear with that color. They are quiet, classy, and comfortable. I have gotten many compliments on these shoes, mostly from men. They are a bit pricier than my budget really allows, but they are so incredibly comfortable right out of the box, with a professional look and attractive shine, that I don't begrudge the cost. Great for business and professional attire.

Comfortable shoes. I own them in navy and black. I frequently travel for business and can walk miles in them. Usually I wear them with pant suits or dress slacks and they look professional. I am very picky about ensuring I have comfortable shoes, and these fit the bill for me.
This shoe is deformed. There is extra leather inside the shoe tongue that rubs blisters on my feet. I have the same shoe in other colors that do not have that extra leather inside the tongue of the shoe.
This is my 4th pair of ARA tassel wedge flat. I have worn them all over Europe for long walks. They are very comfortable and look classy for dinner.
I'm torn on these shoes. If only the front matched the heel; the front is nice and 'dressy'; the heel looks like an orthotic shoe to me. Such a shame, as they are comfortable.
I have these shoes in black and burgundy and I LOVE them so I ordered the (blue)Indigo color. There is a very slight hint of blue in the suede but the patent leather looks totally black. The indigo color is my only complaint otherwise these are terrific shoes; they are very comfortable and classy! My size 10 fits perfectly and I highly recommend them!
