The Red Chili Fusion Climbing Shoe is a remarkable choice for both novice and seasoned climbers alike. With a complete overhaul, this shoe has been designed to enhance performance while ensuring a comfortable fit. One of the most notable upgrades includes the increased downturn of the rand, which provides more power during climbs, alongside a slightly wider forefoot for improved comfort.
One of the standout features of the Fusion is its innovative fastening system. By cleverly combining the benefits of Velcro (VCR) and traditional laces, you’ll appreciate the rapid and customized adjustments that can be made to fit your foot perfectly. The laces themselves are crafted from extremely strong Technora aramid fibers, typically used in paragliding, making them both durable and abrasion-resistant.
The shoe's tongue is made from 3 mm thick neoprene, delivering extra comfort and ensuring that pressure is evenly distributed when the shoe is tightened. This thoughtful design means you can wear these shoes for extended periods without discomfort.
When it comes to versatility, the Fusion shines with its full-surface RX-1 ALLROUND sole, which balances friction, sensitivity, durability, and edge stability exceptionally well. Whether you're tackling a challenging rock face or navigating indoor walls, this shoe adapts beautifully to various climbing scenarios.

I like the fit of these! The only thing is that I do feel I have to wear a sock that comes over my ankle with them because of how it sits slightly higher at the back of my foot, and I prefer to not wear socks, but that’s fine. I have worn them both in the gym and climbing outdoors. My Nike tennis shoe size is a 7.5 and I ordered both a 7.5 and a 7 based off reviews. My old climbing shoes were a 6.5, so I was skeptical ordering closer to my actual size. I went with the size 7 which is a half size down from my normal. My toe is right at the end where I want it, but not so cramped that it’s curling. I had no discomfort in these at all. And didn’t feel the need to take them off in-between climbs. The toe of the shoe is better than my la sportiva tarantula shoes (which I love, but had worn out). I feel like it has a little more to work with. It’s not an aggressive shoe, but it’s not the most flat shoe you could buy. I have no complaints so far. I was grateful I ordered two sizes to compare the fit, and Amazon returns are so easy that didn’t bother me. But if I hadn’t read the reviews I would have ordered smaller originally. Good shoes for what I paid!
