Detailed Review

When it comes to performance climbing shoes, the Butora Acro Comp stands out as an exceptional choice. The narrow fit is particularly beneficial for climbers with slimmer feet, providing a snug, secure feeling that enhances overall performance. As you slip into these shoes, the first thing you'll notice is the immediate comfort provided by the soft leather and breathable mesh lining. Unlike many climbing shoes, which can require a painful break-in period, the Acro Comp fits comfortably from day one.

The NEO Fuse rubber sole is another highlight, offering notable stickiness that grips well on both holds and volumes. Whether you're attempting difficult moves at the gym or scaling challenging outdoor routes, this shoe excels in providing the needed confidence to push your limits. However, it’s worth noting that the softer nature of the shoe may slightly reduce precision on extremely tiny footholds, but most users will find that the trade-off in comfort is worth it.

In terms of versatility, the Butora Acro Comp truly shines—it's just as effective for dynamic movements and technical climbing as it is for everyday sessions at the climbing gym. The hook-and-loop closure allows for quick adjustments, making it easy to get in and out of the shoes between climbs, while the downturned profile facilitates power transfer to your toes, essential for tackling steep terrain.

Overall, if you’re seeking a comfortable, high-performing climbing shoe that caters specifically to steep sport climbing and bouldering, the Butora Acro Comp is a worthy contender to consider.

Rubber too soft

An amazing shoe for most things but once you start getting on harder grades and have to stand on small chips they sadly don't stand up as the rubber is fairly soft.Only downside is the soft rubber that does not hold up over time

Look at my picture for shoe size. U.S. is 10.5 EU is 44

My go to shoe for hard projects. Rubber is super soft so I only use the Arco comp when I really need to trust my feet as these shoe grip so well. The down side is because the rubber is so soft it can wear down quickly if I use them regularly at my local gym. Shoe fits great for my wide feet and meets my comfort needs. Edging is great and so is smearing, but heal hooking it’s kind loose. The only Butora Climbing shoe that rules in heal hooking is the Narshas, a much stiffer shoe compared to both the regular Arco, and Comp version. That said the Rubber on the Arco Comp is softer as compared regular Arcos. I love the Neo Friction rubber of Butora. I feel the rubber is in all the right places on the Arcos and it’s hard stray away on a well made shoe. Price for performance and durability makes it hard to buy other popular brands. I’m dialed in on my brand of climbing shoe, very happy with Butora and their Arco comp shoe.
