The Timberland Men's Anti-Fatigue Hiking Waterproof Leather Mt. Maddsen Boot stands out in terms of its robust construction and thoughtful features. The waterproof leather not only adds to its aesthetic appeal but also ensures longevity in harsh weather conditions, which is particularly important for avid hikers.
When it comes to comfort, the removable anti-fatigue footbed makes a significant difference, especially during long hikes where foot fatigue can be an issue. Users report feeling less tired after wearing these boots for extended periods, which is a considerable advantage over many alternatives.
However, it's worth noting that some users found the boots to feel a bit stiff at first. This may necessitate a brief break-in period before achieving maximum comfort. The weight of the boots may also be a factor for those seeking ultra-light options, but the trade-off for durability and support could be worth it, depending on your hiking needs.

These boots are very light and comfortable. They seem to be very well made (although it's too early to know how durable they will prove to be). The soles are very high quality, providing great grip on snow, ice, and wet concrete. In short, these boots are a superb value!
Excellent fit, comfortable light and well made
I currently work as security in my local public school system. I am on my feet a good bit and always on the move. I go from concrete floors to outdoors day in and day out.I am not one that goes nuts over name brands. I actually had a pair of Timbs before, and didn't care for them much. I was hesitant to buy this pair, due to past experience.I had about 5 pairs of boots (including these) that I was considering. I read countless reviews and took ratings into consideration. After doing so, I trusted the reviews and ratings of these, the most.Today was my first time wearing them. I am quite pleased after one day. They are lightweight, don't seem to hold mud in the treads, seem to have good traction, are sleek, and are fairly comfortable. Thus far, the only thing I don't like is the speed lace hooks.I had boots with those in the past and had laces get caught up in them causing me to trip and fall face first onto pavement. It cut my laces up and left a mental scar, if you will. I have also hated speed laces because of that.
I work in an ice rink so my feet can get cold and wet all the time however, these boots are great at keeping my feet warm and dry. They are also very comfortable and fit great as I have a wide foot.Would 100% recommend these boots to anyone. One month update: Not too happy about laces as they are already fraying and one of the tips just failed after one month of wearing 3-4 times a week.## Downgrade from Five stars to Four stars ##
I hate ordering shoes online! I rolled the dice and I’m very happy. These feel a little small (9) as you put them on but no problems after that. They fit well! All day comfort, no tired feet, light as a sneaker. I think I’ll order a second pair!
These boots are my son's very favorite boot. I buy him a new pair every year for Christmas this being the third year. They are good looking boots and I know he's one happy camper to get them each time. I recommend buying these for your guy.
I've been wearing the Timberland Mt. Maddsen boots for over 8 years, 6 days a week for work. They last a full year, plus some. I do a lot of kneeling and put stress on the shoe's seems. I do automotive repair and automotive detailing, all on concrete surfaces. They hold up very well, and my feet don't get wet! I've worn the tread off of the bottoms until they were smooth in spots, The seems were still holding up and they were still waterproof. So these shoes see oil, lots of water, snow, and sometimes mud. They are warm enough to wear outside, but still not to hot to wear in a shop environment in the summer. they have a tendency to hold mud in the tread and make a mess when you initially wear them once they've dried out. But that's with any boot. Great traction on wet/ oily concrete. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
The boots are very well-made if you have really narrow feet like I do. They may look a little funny on you. But they are very comfortable. Just beware that these boots aren't really good for narrow feet.
