The Sorel Women's Winter Carnival Boot excels in several categories. Its warmth is one of its standout features, thanks to the felt frost plug that provides a barrier against extreme cold. You can confidently wear these in the harshest winters without worrying about frostbite. The waterproof nylon exterior is another significant advantage; it allows you to splash through puddles and walk in heavy snow without wet socks.
The aesthetic appeal is not neglected either. With a modern design, these boots can easily transition from outdoor adventures to urban settings. The lace-up closure with a pull tab ensures that you get a snug fit, which prevents any unnecessary slipping or discomfort during wear.
However, it’s essential to consider a few downsides. Some users report that the boots may require a short break-in period before they feel perfectly comfortable. Additionally, while the available colors are tasteful, those looking for more variety might be left wanting.
Overall, if you're seeking a reliable winter boot that balances warmth, waterproofing, and style, the Sorel Women's Winter Carnival Boot is undoubtedly worth considering.

I've lived in northern Illinois my whole life and I've never had a pair of Sorels, but after my first winter on my own on a college campus, I decided to invest and buy some quality winter snow boots, and let me tell you - Sorels are the way to go. If you're shopping for the perfect warm, waterproof boot, this is it!These boots are wildly warm and comfortable. They run large (I went down a half size, but I should have gone down a full size), so I wear two pairs of socks, or one pair of thick socks. They are large and clunky, there's no doubt about it, but they provide coverage that is worth having big feet. I didn't really like the white fluff that comes on top of the liner, so I just cut it off and it looks fine. They're not exceedingly fashionable, but there's this sense of luxury when you're wearing them because you know it's worth it and they're rather expensive.Because I got a size that was too large, the back of my ankles got a little blistered when they rubbed up against the back of the boot. The liners in the boot are essential - without them the boot is basically a massive, rubber shell. The liners, for me, got beat up quickly. I reckon that each winter season every year you'll need to get a new, thick boot liner. These boots are totally waterproof, so you can wear them as rainboots in late fall/early spring. I would recommend buying proper rainboots for summer, though - Sorel is too heavy and warm for summer showers. These boots - minus liners - will last you forever. I know adults who have had this brand of boot since they were in their mid-twenties and they still have them and use them. Totally worth the investment. If you shop around on eBay or other resale sites, you could definitely find them for cheaper, but Amazon offers quick shipping with a brand new set of boots.
Highly recommend purchasing these boots if you are searching for some new winter shoes. They are wide and roomy, providing space for thicker socks or pants to be tucked in. The boot has wool all the way up to the sherpa rim and is covered with a waterproof lining. They are truly so warm the minute you put them on, easy to pull on for quick trips to take out the trash and not laborious as some winter boots can be. I have already shared the link with family and friends because I simply cannot shut up about these boots!
great outdoor boot. comfortable, warm, and they look great.
I live in the Midwest and snow can be expected every winter. I was looking for a warm boot that was easy to get on and held up through the cold & snow. Here are a few things I noticed in my first month of using the boots:1. I bought my regular shoe size. No complaints, the fit is good, snug with thicker socks. I keep the laces tied a bit loose so I can slip the boots on & off which make it a bit more practical for everyday use.2. After my first use, I almost thought I was going to have to return the boots. I wore them out all day and the back cut into my ankles really bad. After a few more tries the boots broke in a bit more and now I really don’t have any issue with it hurting my ankles.3. They are warm. We have been dealing with some single digit lows with windchills below zero the past week and my feet have been comfortable in just wool socks & the boots. The rubber keeps the snow from getting through which also helps keep them warm.4. They are big, clunky and heavy but that can be expected. Even so, they are still pretty cute and fashionable. I love the plum color, goes with everything!Over all I think they are really nice boots. Great for every day use in the snow & cold of winter. Just beware they make take a few uses to break in and might cut into your ankles at first.
I like the liner’s, comfortable foot bed. I wear a 11, bought 12 so I could wear thick socks.I would recommend this boot for anyone who has big feet. Well made.
I’m almost seven years late on this review but better late than never. I bought these boots in 2016, during my freshman year of college in Duluth, MN and I’ve worn them every winter since. If you live in the Midwest you know how much it snows and how cold it can get up there and these boots have kept me warm and dry. I got the idea to post a review today after walking my pup in the freezing rain. Even through puddles there was no water seeping through the seams. Great in snow and below zero temps if you pair with good wool socks. All I can say is that it’s worth the initial investment and pays for itself over and over again. If they ever breakdown on me I’ll update this review but I think these shoes will outlast me lol.
Solid product ✨💖✨
Right boot came damaged. When I first slipped the right boot on, my foot wouldn't fit. I thought I might have had to size up, but the left boot fit perfectly. It turns out the sole of the right boot was lifted up, halving the space for my right foot. Sent a message to seller, did not get a response over 3 days. Would not recommend.
