I love Sorel shoes/boots, have several pairs of boots and sandals. These did not disappoint either. It's important to read reviews, however, to get the best fit, sizing is inconsistent w/Sorel and often you have to size up. I sized up a half size, usually wear an 8.5 & got a 9 which fit perfect w/not-too-thick socks. These are described as rain boots but they are a stylish leather boot & don't look or feel like rain boots. It's comforting to know I don't have to avoid these boots on rainy days, rain & water pooling won't affect their function and appearance, I'm assuming. Overall a great boot, fun color to add to my ridiculous amount of footwear.... anybody got shoe storage solutions? :-D
I have never loved a shoe so much to buy a back up pair just in case, but these are those shoes. I can wear them all day, walking 10k steps plus, with no pain. there was no break in period, they fit very comfortably from day one. Never had an issue with rain or snow, they've held up incredibly well. would get these in every color if they were still available.
Last Spring I bought my first pair of Sorel, waterproof boots. They were extremely comfortable and stable for walking in Ireland and Scotland during rain, over cobblestones, sidewalks, out in the country etc. They looked great, the neutral color went with everything and they laced up. When I tried to buy an identical pair for rainy conditions in Paris during October, I could not find the lace-up style, so purchased the pull on style (no zipper option). Trying on at home assured me that the fit was just as perfect. What I subsequently learned, during hours of wear, both walking and during long flights, is that donning and removing this style is too cumbersome for me. That is personal preference. Otherwise, this pair functioned just as well as the first pair and I would recommend it.
Shoe is beautiful. Not for wide footed people, however. Heel to toe, I was surprised how supportive and comfortable the shoes fit. I do not wear high heels (even for dressy occasions) but did take a gamble on this bootie despite the rise on the heel. It is unexpectedly very comfortable and held my foot in a natural position (more so than very flat shoes do). Length was as I expected for my typical shoe size; bootie is a bit narrower.
These boots are super cute! They are very comfortable when worn with medium thick socks.I’m normally a 6 1/2, but, I sized up to a 7.They are a little narrow even for me and I’m a B width. I bought the brownish black color. They go with everything. I’d like to order another pair in a different color.
I absolutely 💯 love these boots, they're gorgeous and well made. Thick suede, real suede btw!I normally wear a 7.5 but got an 8.5 due to the reviews saying they run small. Very glad that I did! I HIGHLY recommend these boots! Wish I could afford them in every color!
I agree with other reviewers that this boot is narrow and not as comfortable as other Sorels. I have another pair that I love, bought the same size in these and they are too tight in the forefoot. I think it’s because the seam that runs across the top of the boot isn’t allowing the leather to stretch. The sole of the boot also wasn’t as cushioning as my other boots. They are really cute though if they fit you. Also, don’t consider myself a wide foot, medium usually works fine for me.
You may want to size up 1/2 size. I always do with Sorel brand. I’m a 6 1/2 and got a 7 and they fit perfect!
