The molded EVA midsole is a game-changer, providing cushioning that allows you to trek for hours without discomfort. The Nylex lining enhances breathability, preventing sweat build-up during intense activities.
In terms of style, these boots don't compromise. The brown tumbled leather gives them a rustic look perfect for any outdoor adventure while maintaining versatility for everyday casual wear. The lace-up closure ensures that you can adjust the fit to your liking, giving you more control over comfort and support.
When it comes to performance, the rubber outsole shines. It grips well on uneven surfaces, making these boots reliable companions through trails, parks, or even urban settings.
However, it's worth mentioning that some users report needing a break-in period. While this may deter some potential buyers, the comfort achieved after the initial adjustments is often well worth it. I bought a pair of Roper hiking boots in 2003 and wore them out. I had been looking for a new pair of Ropers because they are sturdy and comfortable. This pair meets all my expectations and I wear them when I know I’m going to be doing a lot of walking. I did not have to break them which was a plus for me.
I ordered these believing I was ordering wide sizes. When they arrived, there was no indication the pair I received was a wide. However, they do fit, so I kept them. The shoes I had ordered before I had to return because they did NOT fit. Also thought I ordered wides, but were not wides, but a different style. Probably a different store. I have never used this particular style of shoe, but I like it. I have worn them a couple of times, and have had no problems with them. I have weird feet, and usually it takes a while for me to break in shoes. These don't seem to need any major break in period, even though they are well made shoes. I would definitely recommend.
This is a very high quality boot and I would be very happy with them but I ordered a 9 W and got a regular 9. This really frustrates me because I hate messing around with returns. Since I only plan on wearing them for riding I decided to live with them as is.
