These hold up! We do a lot of camping and hiking as a family and had previously bought similar ones with Velcro across. Save yourself the trouble and don’t get the velcro ones! The d-rings that hold those straps in place all popped for each of my kiddos in less than a year. I guess because of the tugging? Anyways, if you want a sturdy hiking shoe that can be slipped on quickly without having to worry about laces untying and having to be retired in a jiffy— then these are the shoes to get!
Ordered these for my son to hike in and they were true to size. His first time wearing them was a long hike (didn’t break them in first) and they were comfortable. He hiked a few national parks right after that and they were excellent through the terrain with no blisters or pain.
So far the she looks really great. Unfortunately those who say they run slightly small are correct. He wears a four and a half and I bought a 5 and it's too small. However, the joys of having five boys from 2 to 10 means that his little brother can try them on and they fit him perfectly.
Bought for my son. These shoes hve held up to his abuse. I ussually purchase Keen shoes because they are the only shoe that lasts longer than 1-2 months...His last pair lasted almost 8 months.....only reason we bought new ones was because his feet grew. This seem like they will hold up. He likes them and they have passed the 1 month mark and still look good.2 month upadate:Went back to Keens...My son wore a hole completely through the soles of the shoes to were his toes were hanging out...plus he started complaining of his feet hurting. My son is 8 and yes he is hard on shoes....the Keens hold up a heck of alot better. The last pair we got over 8 months of hard use out of them. He out grew out them before wearing any holes through the soles.....
I bought these for my 9 year old daughter to use during a week long hiking trip to Yellowstone. She's picky about her shoes, and I needed something that would give her support and cushion, but not be too heavy or cause blisters. These fit the bill. She did 20 miles without a single complaint (well, not about the shoes anyway. She did have some strong opinions about stopping for ice cream at one point). These are pretty light compared to my hiking boots, but they have good structure and feel well built. They held up well over trails and climbing over boulders (we didn't get them wet so no idea how waterproof they are), but on dry land, they were perfect!
Perfect fit for my 5 year old grandson. Good quality and traction on rocks and sand.
My son loves the shoes. I did order up a size after reading about them running small. His new sneakers are a 4 1/2, but he s probably a 4. I ordered a 5 and they fit well but wish there was a little more room for growth. If I reordered I would probably of gone up another half size.Other than that they are cute, comfy and seem durable. We got them for hiking.
Son loves to wear these shoes! Super comfy and great for UTV riding and hiking!
