I tried on a pair of these boots at a local retailer and fell in love. But I really hesitated at the $397 price tag. As I don't spend that much on booties normally. My only pair of shoes that expansive are a pair of Aquatalia tall boots (another great brand for comfort, style, and waterproof, btw). I couldn't let go of them and after obsessively doing some online research and finding it for so much less here, I was naturally skeptical. Furthermore, the product description here clearly said "Made in China". I know the original shoe was made in Canada. So I thought it must be some kind of knock off. But I ordered it anyway thinking I can always return it if it didn't work. Boy was I happy when the boots came and it was exactly the same as the one I tried on at the retail store but for $165.99! When I looked at the label inside the shoe. It clearly said "Made in Canada". Thank the lord! And I'm Chinese...These boots will be the workhorse for the winter. The heels aren't high which means I can walk every where in them. I try to average 15,000 steps a day. My slightly higher heeled comfortable Via Spiga booties start to hurt after the first mile and half. I'm a big wimp when it come to shoe comfort. They are water proof too! Though I haven't tested them in the snow. I trust that if it's made in Canada, it will handle the winter alright. The toe is more rounded and not quite as feminine as some people would like but it was just fine by me. It has a very classic, stylish and understated look and the straps on the side imparts a little edge. Love love love them! Someone told me they look just like a pair of Ferragamo booties. I wouldn't know because I don't keep track of that brand for affordability reasons but I take that as a good thing. I'm seriously thinking about buying another pair to horde away for five years down the line but maybe that's too much... Hmmm... I need to decide before they run out...
Very Disappointed that this boot couldn’t make through two winter seasons without the seams on the side of the boot coming undone. Expected much better quality.
Just what i was looking for and just as described1 They fit and feel amazing, so worth ever penny they fit true to size also
Very comfortable. Narrow enough for my narrow-heeled foot, but roomy enough in the toe box. A little long, but fits well enough. Accommodates my orthotics. Love that they are waterproof. Nice quality leather. Look good.
These are very nice, and I like the small circumference at the ankle and the rounded toe box. I usually wear 8.5 or 9M depending on the shoe, and 8.5 was just a bit short even with thin socks, but 9M fits well. I need a roomy toe box, but the rest of the boot was just right for my slimmer instep and heel.
I love this boot, but I have a narrow foot which can often work with a boot with an insole. Unfortunately this one was just to wide even with the insole. I love La Canadienne boots and have three pair already.
I have been looking at these for a long time, but too pricey for my budget-was able to get them on sale, LOVE them, comfy, wore with leggings, an wear with anything!
Beautiful boots but too tight across the instep. Painful to wear. Sadly I had to return them.
