When considering outdoor footwear, comfort and functionality are paramount. The KEEN Women's Headout Mid Height Waterproof Hiking Boots excel in providing both. Thanks to their renowned KEEN.DRY waterproof breathable membrane, you'll find your feet remain dry even in the stormiest weather. The breathable mesh lining also ensures that moisture is effectively managed, keeping your feet cool during strenuous activities.
In terms of traction, the boots shine with the KEEN.ALL-TERRAIN rubber outsole offering impressive grip on varied surfaces. The addition of 4mm multi-directional lugs further enhances stability, making these boots ideal for muddier paths and rocky trails alike.
Supportive elements like the stability shank and removable footbed enhance comfort over long hours of wear. The shock-absorbing cushioning adds another layer of comfort, making them suitable for both short hikes and full-day outdoor adventures.
However, it’s worth noting that the wider fit might not be suitable for everyone, particularly if you have narrow feet. Additionally, the weight of these boots can be slightly prohibitive if you prefer lighter footwear for quick trekking.

Didn't have a chance to break them in, and it turns out that wasn't necessary. Great boots.
I absolutely love these shoes! They are very comfortable and provide me with good traction and stability when walking on slippery and uneven slopes. Can't wait to use the in Europe on the cobblestone streets. I'm sure I will be glad they are on my feet there.
Great for hiking and they feel great on my feet
Right out of the box, these boots are the quality I expect from Keen. I've owned a few pairs of Keen shoes and they've all been great. As for sizing, on average I usually order a size 11 in shoes, but my current hiking boots are a 10.5. To be safe, though, I ordered a size 11. The Keens have plenty of room in the toe box which I love because that's where I usually have issues with hiking boots squishing my toes together which results in blisters. So, the toe box gets five stars!I have skinny ankles so I'm not always able to lace up boots properly/tight enough across the top of my foot and ankle. Once laced, these do put pressure on the top of my foot. Not painful, but after a day of hiking it won't feel great. The boots are stiff, but perhaps after several hikes they'll start to soften up providing a little relief across the top foot.My back heel is also straight so boots tend to slip as I walk. I'm experiencing a little slippage in the heels. Perhaps thicker socks or a sole insert would help prevent that or maybe I should have chosen a size 10.5.Bottom line: These seem to run large, at least for my feet. They're sturdy and well made. The knobby rugged sole should be able to endure many miles before seeing any wear. Overall, a quality mid-height boot if you can get the sizing right.
These have been the most confortable shoes I’ve ever had! The toes area is wide and you’re able to move your toes!! I strongly recommend them!!
These are very well made. Unfortunately they didn't work for me. They fit true to size but when I wore for very long I got pains up the front of my leg. I had to return them.
I discovered Keen when my kids were toddlers. Keen sandals were heavy duty and nearly indestructible. Same with these shoes! They’re comfortable and surprisingly light for an all-around protection heavy duty shoes. Highest quality all in all!
