When considering a reliable snow boot for kids, the KEEN Greta Mid Height Waterproof Snow Boot checks numerous boxes. The construction revolves around a wider fit that accommodates growing feet comfortably without compromising support.
One standout feature is the Thermal Heat Shield insole paired with KEEN.WARM insulation, which effectively retains heat while still allowing for breathability. This combination means that even during the coldest days, your child will experience warmth without overheating—a common issue with less sophisticated boots.
Moreover, the boot's traction-enhancing multi-directional lugs provide security on slippery surfaces, making it perfect for hiking or playing in the snow. Notably, the rubber soles are designed to leave no trace indoors, which is a thoughtful touch for parents concerned about scuff marks.
As for maintenance, these boots are relatively straightforward to care for. A gentle brush to remove dirt followed by leather conditioner can prolong their lifespan significantly. However, it's worth noting that while the boots perform excellently in colder climates, they might feel slightly stiff until broken in.

These ones fit well, I bought for one kid and will buy for the other and possibly for myself too when I'll find them in discount
My son needs supportive shoes and arches. We looked up the best kids' boots with arch support and Keens always come up. We found these before winter came and I LOVE them! Our son loves them too. They're stylish with a great dark teal color with a bit of pink tightening string and velcro. We have an easy time getting them on him and he has an easy time getting them off. They're sturdy and perfect for winter! They're cute enough to be hand-me-down for his sister.I'd definitely recommend these boots. You get what you pay for — I'm satisfied with my purchase.
Boots are well-made, Steve, fashioned, great traction, perfect for Colorado kids
I am typically a women’s size 6, and I ordered these in big kids size 5, and they are a perfect fit. Plenty of room to wear with heavy winter socks and very comfortable in the toe box. I can tell they will be nice and warm as well. The arch support is unlike any other winter boot. Can’t wait to walk around in these this winter. I love the Keen brand☺️👍🏻
There are no negative points...
I wear a 7xw in women's, while this boot is too stiff for my preference it's more than wide enough for my feet! I also bought a size 7..5 in women's, which was far too narrow, the kids 6 is perfect. I haven't decided whether to keep it yet, due to the stiffness which seems to be typical of keens, but first decent boots I've found that fit me!
Convenient and met the purpose. Do not know the durability as have not used them a lot yet.
I wear a women's 7 and the kids 6 fits well. Love the colors. Plenty of room in the toe box and doesn't slip on my narrow heels. Wish the shaft was a bit taller and the boot was warmer, but they'll do for now. I couldn't be in the snow or freezing temps for more than a few minutes in these, and we have very harsh winters.
