Women's wide winter boots are hard to come by! I had tried on Columbia's popular "Ice Maiden" but they had a spot on the inside that rubbed my left foot, plus I just didn't feel like the comfort or quality was there for a $110 pair of boots. By contrast, these Kamik boots are comfortable and high quality. The puffer pattern means the boots are very flexible when walking and have no stiff parts that rub my feet. The footbed has a removable insert which is a really nice bonus if you want to put in your own insert or replace it when it gets worn out. I like that the tongue is sewn in but it's done in such a way that it kind of makes an accordion? Which just means no snow is going to get in-between and inside to your socks. Lastly, I was excited to see that the bottoms of the boots are a bit fuzzy which I'd read helps with traction on ice (have not been able to try this out due to the unseasonably warm winter we are having...)As for sizing, I normally wear anywhere from a 9 to a 9.5 in athletic shoes, but I decided to size up to a 10 so I could wear thick socks. I think I made the right call. I wish these were a touch wider, but overall they suit my needs perfectly.Last but not least, I bought these for ~$79 when on the Kamik website these retail for $139.99!!! Very happy with my heavily discounted find on Amazon. I'll try to update my review if/when I get to put it to the test after it snows...edit (1/25/2023): It finally snowed and I wore these boots to shovel my driveway. Love them! So comfortable, warm (though it was only in the 30's today), and easy to slip on/off and walk around in. Definitely recommend these snow boots!
I've never had to go with a wide size, until I tried these boots on. Usually a 7.5, went with an 8 wide. They're comfortable, warm, overall very satisfied :).
Glad I went a size up, from a 7 to an 8. But I ordered an 8 wide, but received a regular 8 and definitely feels too narrow.
These boots are fantastic. They look great, they feel great. The quality seems very nice. The trouble is with sizing as many others have noted.I do have kind of skinny, narrow feet. I’m a true size 8.5. At first I ordered a 9 wide based on reviews. However, these were too big and my heel would slide up and down. I then ordered a regular size 9 and kept those. They wear nicely but I can see where they would be too narrow for some people. They should definitely offer a regular width as well.
Beautiful design, kept my feet warm in 9” snow and 22 degree weather. Not too bulky so i was able to drive to work in them.
Finally after 4 month search and 6 returned boots, this is a serious warm winter boot with a large toe box and a comfortable heel bed that keeps my heel stable....very hard to find! It's well insulated for Northern Wisconsin winters, easy to get on, flexible foot bed, stiff enough uppers so they don't bend and rub, enough extra room for thicker socks if I need them and they work well in my snowshoes. If you have a hammer toe and in the past depended on Keens, these work well.
I found this boot in a fancy shop priced much higher, they only sell top of the line shoes and boots, they are all great quality and reliable wear. This boot met all my expectations! Cheaper on here, same EXACT product that I saw in the richy store. Good buy
I had to return because they are too small, thought about ordering another pair but not happy because after two weeks still now refund to my gift card. Not what you expect with Amazon or Kamik
