When the winter chill sets in, you want your little one to be prepared for whatever Mother Nature throws their way. The Kamik Girl's WATERBUG5 Snow Boot combines stylish design with essential warmth and waterproof protection. Crafted with a seam-sealed nylon upper, these boots ensure that your child’s feet stay dry, making them ideal for all types of snowy adventures.
Product | Waterproof | Warmth Rating | Traction |

Sorel Youth Yoot Pac Nylon Boot | Yes | -40°F | Very Good |
Northside Frosty Boots | No | -20°F | Good |
The Kamik Girl's WATERBUG5 stands out in terms of performance and design, catering specifically to the needs of active toddlers. The mid-calf height provides ample coverage without hindering mobility, allowing your child to play freely in the snow. With a robust construction and durable materials, these boots are built to last through rough winter play.
One of the standout features is the temperature rating of -40°F, making these boots a great choice for extremely cold climates. The specially designed non-marking rubber outsole, paired with SNOWPAW technology, provides fantastic grip on icy surfaces, ensuring that your child remains steady while running or walking.
For ease of use, the adjustable hook-and-loop strap allows for quick fitting adjustments, which is especially useful for busy parents trying to get their kids ready for outdoor fun. The reflective patches add an extra layer of safety, giving you peace of mind during evening excursions.
However, as with any product, the Kamik Girl's WATERBUG5 has its drawbacks. Availability in specific sizes might pose challenges for some families, and the upkeep of the removable liner could require additional effort. Nonetheless, these minor inconveniences are overshadowed by the overall effectiveness and quality of the boot.

UPDATE: Its been 3 months since we bought them. We live in the UP so we are normally buried in snow but this year have not had hardly any until recently. These have been great for wearing around town, to school, etc. But now that we've finally got snow and a lot of it the toes of the liners are constantly soaking wet. I have to keep checking them to make sure my sons not going out with wet boots. I dont see a crack, theyre hardly worn so i dont know where the snow is getting in. The entire liner isn't wet just the toes and the inside near the toes. They look like new still. We will be going back to bread bags for the rest of this winter and will order new next year. As much as I love Kamik boots i wont be ordering them for him again. I dont have time or money to waste on boots that wont keep his feet warm and dry. Such a bummer. We love Kamik! We ordered these for my 7 year old. I needed a boot with removable liners so they're earsier to dry. He is a size 13 or 1 depending on the brand, 1 being a little big. I ordered a 1 hoping they would be a little big. They are not! I would say they run a little small. They fit but definitely won't fit at all next year. He has a regular width foot. We don't find them to be too narrow as other have stated. They are very warm and well made. Will order them again next year! They must have good arch support because it took a while for him to get used to the bump in the arch. He loves them now.
I got these for my son and they're great quality and very warm, but because of the super warm lining his regular size were too tight and we had to size up.
My 10-year old loves them. Easy to get on and off, adjustable, warm and waterproof. Recommend!
They look sturdy. Removable boot liner. Haven't worn yet. Will update later.
Great fit and keep my daughters feet warm. She says she wished they were softer on the inside but overall they work great!
What a nice surprise! And they’re perfect for keeping my child’s feet dry and cozy.
I am so happy to have found these boots for such a great price! They are good to -40 zero, waterproof and super easy on and off for my six year old. They're super well made, we ordered a little big to hopefully get two seasons out of! The pairs we've had in the past still looked brand new after heavy use for two winters!
Great quality at a good price. My son says they are comfortable and never complains about cold toes. They are waterproof all the way up and you can use the string on top to keep snow out. IF you do get the insides wet, the liner is removeable to dry. And with older boys, the ability to air it out is nice.
