These were perfect the the torrential downpour. Comfy to dance in and waterproof.Kept my feet warm as well.
This is my second pair. The first pair lasted 3 years. I wore them at least three times every week. More in the winter. Sometimes I forgot I had boots on and wore them all day. Between rain, snow and gardening they became my default slip-ons. Love 'em. Here's why. Comfortable. They come up to just under my ankle so they're high enough to keep snow and rain out. I ordered a half size larger than normal which is the recommendation from other buyers. They are comfortably secure, don't feel sloppy with room to wear thicker socks. These boots keep your feet warm and dry. The grip of the sole was important to me. As mentioned in other reviews they are a challenge to slip on. As time goes on the back gets looser and you will need a shoe horn or finger to fix that. That's OK. I prefer the height (coverage) to ease of slip on. Great price. Based on the number of times I wore the first pair over the last three years, it cost like $0.07 per time. Crazy.
I ordered size 7 and 7.5. The 7, my usual size, seemed to fit well but when I walked around the house in it, something started rubbing/digging in. The 7.5 is a tad too big and looks it, but I decided to keep the larger size. I can wear a thick sock and/or use an insole and it's quite comfy. Also easier to get on than the 7 was. The 7 did look better on, didn't make my feet look quite so big, but comfort over looks! Overall very satisfied.
These shoes are great! I bought them for $27.55 on sale, and I'm surprised they were so inexpensive considering the nice quality.I'm normally size 8.5 but I listened to other reviewers and went up half a size. The fit is perfect and it's not uncomfortable to wear thicker socks. I'm really picky about shoes, but I had no problem walking around the city I'm these all day. No breaking in required! Some very small notes/complaints: If you're looking for shoes you can slip on without bending over (hard when you're pregnant!) these might not be perfect. They require the slightest pull on the back heel to get on, but still really easy. Also, the toes of these shoes are not super warm, but that's really not a problem if you wear a decent pair of socks. Buy these though. They're super cute and you won't regret it.
Since several people said they run small, and the pattern I wanted wasn't available in my size (7.5) I ordered an 8. Wish I'd selected a 7.5 as the 8 is a bit big, even with warm socks on. The shoes are so easy to slip on and have kept my feet warm when walking at -5 or even -10F for about 1/2 hour plus, multiple times this past January. They have been great for up to 45F so far too. Haven't had them long enough to know if they'll be too hot later this spring. The only downside for me has been that the ties don't stay tight. They seem mostly decorative, but since the shoes are a bit large for me I need to snug them in as much as possible. This is only a minor issue. I purchased them to have as a quick on/off boot for snowy and rainy days when I don't want to take time to put on and lace up my heavy Sorrels. Unless walking in snow deeper than a couple of inches, these are great. I wear them several times a day. It's muddy here in Minnesota now so having rubber shoes like these is very helpful for running out to check on the maple syrup boiling in the pot or walking the dogs or looking for spring ephemerals coming up or just walking down the gravel road. I'm very happy with them and hope they last a long time.
I live in New England and after a snow and a temperature rise (like today) I have a backyard full of slush and mud - and why I purchased these JBU by Jambu Women's Gwen Rain Shoes. On the bright side, they are somewhat warm, so far waterproof (and they got a workout on that today!), and other than length, overall I would consider them comfortable enough to let the dog in/out, get the mail, etc.But these shoes run SMALL. I am not in between sizes, always wear a size 7 so I purchased these in size 7 as Amazon's suggestion feature recommended. In length, yes, I can get my foot in but these shoes are not going to stretch lengthwise and I cannot wear them with socks as my toes touch the front of the shoe in bare feet. Enclosed shoes sized accordingly should allow some room for a sock - even a thin one. You toes should not touch the front of the shoes. The inside plush is not as 'plush-y' as the close-up pics might suggest. While they are somewhat warm, the plush isn't going to mat down enough to compensate for the lack of length in this shoe. The first time I put them on I needed a shoe horn to get my foot in. However, once on, they are relatively comfortable and so far, dry inside. Now with the plush slightly matted, I can slip them on with a little effort without the shoe horn. Toes still touch the front, though.I would recommend that if you wanted to wear these with a sock (as I would have), you order a half size larger than you would normally wear. If you tend to favor thick socks, go up a full size. I subtracted 2 stars: 1 star for a shoe company like Jambu to not size shoes accordingly, and another star for the inside lining which is noticeably uneven and looks like it was cut by a 5 year old. I expect better from Jambu.
