This is the 2nd pair of work boots I bought my husband. He says they are light, comfortable and the steel toe does the job protecting his feet at work. His boss and co-workers complimented his shoes, asked where he got em, but were impressed at the price. Note: I bought him shoe inserts for extra comfort.
1 of the best work boot ive bought in a long time, reason I sent them back was I have fred Flintstone feet and it's a bleep to get a pair that are so comfortable after a 12 hour day
I bought these for chainsawing, didn't really want to cut a foot off.I read all the reviews, and ordered down 1/2 size. I wear a 10.5 regular width in every other shoe/boot I've bought in the last 10 years. The 10 I ordered (1/2 size down) felt HUGE. I had to send it back and I could not decide if I should go down to a 9.5 or a 9. I went with the 9.5. It fits better but is still a bit loose. I believe the 9 would have fit snugly but well, and that is 1.5 full sizes below what I wear in every other shoe/boot. They are fairly low arch which is good for my foot. They feel fairly comfortable, and are heavy as you would expect for this type of construction and protection. As for the quality, they seem well-made. As mentioned in other reviews, the inside back where the heel goes is a bit rough and would take some breaking in. There is just stitching there that is not covered in padding that you can feel, not sure how long it would take to break that in.For me, for the price and the amount of use they are going to get, I am happy with them. It's a lot of protection for under $80. If I was going to be wearing these 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, I'm not so sure. I would have probably sent them back again and tried the 9, and looked at more expensive options. If you take a chance on these are are in the size 10-ish range, I would definitely start 1 full size lower than usual.
Super nice boots great price.
My husband purchased these to replace his regular stealthier boots. He is a welder and works with very heavy pieces of metal, so he needs shoes that protect the top of his foot as well. He was worried about them at first because the piece that goes over the top of your foot is thin. He hasn’t had anything fall on his foot yet so can’t speak to how much they protect. However he keeps talking about how comfortable they are. Actually he said they are the most comfortable brand new shoe he has ever wore. They don’t hurt to break in or rub and they are not to tight. The fit just right. This is only his 2nd day wearing them so I’ll update if anything changes.
Runs big I ordered size 10 1/2 wide and they were more like 11 wide. When I say wide they are really wide so much my foot slides from side to side I do not like these boots at all. I will never order them again.
Used these for about a year in the mills, switched to more expensive and far better Red Wings.
Good and durable comfy boot but I got the wrong size a little big shld have sent them back!!
