The Hunter Women's Original Tall Military Red Rain Boots excel in multiple areas that make them a worthy investment for anyone looking to enhance their rainy-day footwear collection.
Fit and Comfort: The boots are built on an original last, ensuring a precise fit that hugs your foot without constricting it. Many users have noted that while they may feel stiff initially, they quickly become comfortable after a few wears. The low heel contributes to this comfort level, making them ideal for long walks or standing for extended periods.
Style: A major highlight of these boots is their unique military red color. They stand out in a sea of black and brown rain boots, offering a fresh twist on a classic style. Pair them with jeans, skirts, or even shorts for a playful yet practical look.
Functionality: Functionally, these rain boots perform remarkably well. The vulcanized construction ensures that they are fully waterproof, allowing you to traipse through puddles without a worry. However, it's worth noting that they may not be suited for winter conditions as they lack insulation.
Durability: With their high-quality rubber material, these boots are built to last. Users report minimal wear even after frequent use over several seasons, which is a testament to their robust construction.

First, the boots arrived faster than promised and were perfectly packaged to survive the rain at my doorstep! I ordered a half size bigger (7) than my shoe size (6.5) so I would have room for a layer or two of warm socks. The fit is roomy but not so much that my foot slides around when I walk. These boots will be perfect for walking the beaches of Northern California where the weather is often damp and chilly. I wanted tall boots to keep lapping waves from splashing inside and these come right up to my knee. I'm only 5'1" with proportionally short legs, so that might not be the case for those with long legs. The sturdy construction and materials look like they will last for many years. The buckles are a little hard to adjust, but I wasn't planning on cinching or loosening each time I pull them on or off. I am very happy with my purchase! *Updated: I saw some negative reviews by people who think their boots weren't genuine Hunter so I included a shot with the official red box and the Hunter stamp on the sole. Mine are the real deal!
Love, love, love. Love the color, size, feel! I have a green pair of the same boots that I got several years ago for gardening and rainy weather after a pair of cheap rain boots failed me. The green boots are my farm boots now (I volunteer at a farm animal rescue), and these cool, magenta (violet) ones are my new gardening/rain boots.I normally wear an 8 (sometimes 7.5), and both the green and these magenta ones in an 8 fit perfectly with easy off and on.I love these boots; they’re worth the $. They’ll last. They stand up to the elements and farm muck. And of course, they look pretty cool.
Yep, they are staring at my boots again. Everyone seems to have Hunter boots, but no one in my town has the white ones but me! I get comments every time I wear them. They are so comfortable that I get excited when it rains, because I get to wear my boots. But truth be told, I wear them on sunny days too!THE FITI wear a size 9.5 shoe and bought the size nine. They fit great. Very flexible and comfortable. I’m 5’8” tall and 138 lbs. The calves run on the smaller side, so if you have big calves you may have issues. I can wear them with jeans tucked in, but there isn’t much room left. I have rather large calves for my size, but I’m fairly lean, wearing a size 6 jean.
Hunter boots never disappoint. Shipping was fast. A very pleased customer
I always love the look of hunter boots- so sleek. Purchased these and was sent the wrong pair. Did purchase another but seems like a person has to have skinny calves to wear hunter boots. My athletic calves have no room in these and they come up tight in the leg. Bummer, unfortunately returned.
Genuine Hunter boots, and a fraction of the price! WIN!! True to size. I’m a 7 ½ and always wear a 7 in these. They’re super roomy, even at a 1/2 size down, so don’t size up. Easy on, easy off. I’ve worn hunter boots since I was a kid working on horse farms. At 46, this is my third or fourth pair. If that doesn’t say something about the quality, I don’t know what does. I BEAT on them, wear them daily, and I get a solid 10 years per pair. Can’t go wrong.
Very happy with my purchase! I was super skeptical to order this not knowing exactly what I would receive. First of all, the description says “snow boots”. I searched and searched and couldn’t find any hunter snow boots that look exactly like their rain boots. I can verify these are not snow boots, they are the original hunter rain boots. Second, the color was listed simply as “green”. Hunter makes these boots in 2 or 3 different shades of green, so I really wasn’t sure which I would receive but I was thrilled to see they are “hunter green” which is exactly what I wanted. I spent weeks reading reviews about whether to size up or size down with hunter boots. I decided to size down. I’m a 7.5 and I ordered a 7, they fit perfect. Of course they are a little tough to get off, but any rain boot is tough to get off lol. I also live in miami and will not be wearing these with any thick socks or anything like that.. bought purely for rain. If you live in a colder climate and plan on wearing thick/warm boot socks with them, I’d probably suggest you size up instead of down. Now for my last point- these obviously came from a retail store as the sticker on the bottom says “wall display”, but they were in perfect condition with zero scuffs or anything like that. Regular price is $150 so for $86, these were a steal!
I really think these are knock-offs, and I would know having spent plenty of time in Chinese night markets. When they arrived in their beat-up box, I was already suspicious. Then one look at the boots and I thought, "This is what everyone raves about?" They just looked cheaply made, with rough finishing and a cheap buckle. Though I sized a half size down, they were too big and the calves was huge, I looked like I was wearing buckets around my legs. I returned them and purchased the same pair from a different listing on Amazon, and upon receipt I instantly knew that the new pair was the real deal. Everything from the box to the fabric lining to the stamp of those round pieces on the buckle was done with a much higher quality finish. They wear more comfortably and while still a little big around the calves, they fit better. Don't get fooled into these.
