When it comes to rainy days, the Hatley unisex child Classic Boots Raincoat in pink and navy is designed to make puddle stomping a delightful experience for your little one. These stylish rain boots not only keep feet dry but also provide a fun and vibrant option for kids who love to splash around. With an emphasis on comfort and practicality, these boots are crafted to meet the needs of toddlers eager to explore their wet surroundings.
Product | Material | Sole Type | Height |
---|---|---|---|
Hatley Classic Boots | Rubber | Slip Resistant | Calf High |
Western Chief Kids Rain Boots | Rubber | Slip Resistant | Mid Calf |
Oaki Kids Waterproof Boots | Neoprene/Rubber | Non-slip | Above Ankle |
The Hatley Classic Boots stand out for their combination of functionality and style. The attention to detail in the design makes them exceptionally user-friendly—especially for young children just learning to put on their footwear. The addition of handles is a thoughtful feature that empowers toddlers to independently pull on their boots, making preparations for outdoor play much easier.
Comfort is equally prioritized, as the inner jersey lining feels gentle against sensitive skin. Furthermore, the removable insole allows for personalized comfort levels, which many parents will appreciate. The waterproof nature of the boots guarantees that your child's feet stay dry while splashing through puddles, a must-have for any rainy day adventure.
In terms of safety, the slip-resistant sole gives you peace of mind knowing your child can run and play without risking slips and falls. However, it's worth noting that the boot's calf-high height might limit mobility for some kids, particularly those who are still mastering their walking skills.
On the downside, although the colors are appealing, they may not suit every child's taste, and the limited sizing could pose a challenge for older toddlers or those with larger feet. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Hatley Classic Boots remain a reliable choice for stylish and functional rain gear for toddlers.

These are so cute on my 3 year old. He is very picky about putting on anything new and these slipped on his feet super easy. I wanted them so he could walk in lake water at the shore line and they keep his feet dry. After it rains too he can walk in the mud with them and they rinse off easily. They are great and I would recommend them.
Very comfy and kid approved. Good quality and tall
EDIT 10/26/16****My son is now officially wearing a converse size 5 (bear in mind that the picture with the red converse is still a size 4 converse not size 5, that picture is original to the original review) and the boots nearly fit him perfectly. Both the size 5 converse and the boots are just slightly too big. He still wears the boots every once in a while and I've added one more puddle photo of him at the end enjoying the boots. One side note I've learned is that they are very easy to put on, which is fantastic because I was worried how I would get them on (the opening is wide to allow easy "foot installation"), but this also means they can fall off easily when he is being carried. They have never fall off while he's walking, but sometimes while he is being carried they do. That's fine though as it's a good trade off for being able to put them on without issue every time.EDIT 8/25/16****My son will finally wear these! We've had them for a little while, and he's come around to them. Also his feet are a bit bigger, so that may be a contributing factor. He's just now starting to outgrow his converse, and his feet are starting to fill the boots a bit better. He still has a slight bit of stumble in his walk with them on, but probably because they are still just a tad too big.. And because they area bit heavier than his converse which is what he's used to, but he still hasn't fallen not even once in them. Just walks a little slower. He's come around to them so well that we actually were able to take them for a test run at a "messy day" event (pictures included). Over all still five stars, especially since we can finally use them. I am going to take them to fountains in the area and see how he does.ORIGINAL REVIEW****:These are a lot nicer than I thought they would be for the price. They come in a fancy looking box with a cute little tag and the company logo which doesn't look cheesy as I've experienced with many other company logos, (especially on children's clothes) actually looks kind of classy. They don't seem to heavy which is good but still heavier than your standard shoe of course.. Since it's a boot. Got them for my son to wear as he insists on jumping in every muddy puddle out there while wearing his converse. I searched everywhere in town for yellow rain boots because I think yellow rain boots are classic and cool. Seriously all I could find were these cheesy ugly things ( black and green, Camo. Spider-Man, batman, bleh no thanks), well I gotta say these really live up to my expectations, they're way cool and classic enough for any kid to wear boy or girl in my opinion. There are a couple things, however, to note that I wanted to share since there were no other reviews when I bought these.Number 1: they do run a bit big. I got the size toddle 4, and my son ( 1.5 years old) wears a toddle 4 in converse.. However these toddler 4s do not quite fit. They are just a bit too big, making it difficult for him to walk in them as of yet. I included a photo of the converse up to the boots to give a bit of a comparison. They run a little big (bigger than converse anyways). Kind of a bummer because that's the smallest size they had and its rain season now, by the time he fits these rain season will probably be over and we'll have to buy new ones for next rain season.Number 2: my son refuses to wear them. When I put them on his feet he stands still, sits down and cries while trying to take them off his feet so he can get them off and move along with his busy life. This loses no stars because the company is not to be held responsible for how my son reacts to them. There are a number of reasons why he may be reacting this way such as, they are too big and therefore make it hard for him to walk.. It's not what he's used to wearing.. They're heavier than his converse.. He doesn't like change?.. Yatta yatta I don't know but to me they look comfortable and fancy so they still get five stars from me. Just be weary that if your child hasn't work boots or doesn't like to wear boots he may not want to wear these.
I bought these for my eight year old niece, and she loves them. They are nicely made, seem sturdy and they are so cute.
I'm a huge fan of Hatley. I discovered this brand buying my kids raincoats last year. They were AWESOME. In fact, my kids are still wearing those rain coats a year and a half later and they look brand new. And they have the cutest designs ever. So this year I bought my daughter a couple of pairs of rain boots and another matching raincoat for the fall. She doesn't even really need it, but we like to splash in muddy puddles and stomp around in rain year round- so we like boots. And these were so cute I couldn't stand it. Quality of construction is very high on Hatley products- and I am very, very picky. The boots are sturdy and well made and the coats are impeccable- high quality fabrics, good fit, zippers that don't stick and a nice warm liner for those chilly fall, early spring, or not quite too cold and snowy winter days. A bit too warm for a summer rain storm, so for that I just got them a lightweight rain shell. I really like these boots, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them- but if you are in the market for a raincoat that's where this company really shines. I will honestly never buy another brand of raincoat- my kids are each getting one every year. They are that good.
Perfect for lil girls
These boots are the cutest things! My daughter absolutely loves them and won't take them off! I gave them 4 stars bc we haven't worn them outside in the puddles yet but I'm confident they will hold up well and keep her dry. They run true to size. My 2 year old daughter is a size 6 and I originally ordered her a 6 which is her normal size and fit perfectly but I decided to return them and get the 7 so they will fit her through the fall. Side note - the back of the box is so cute and has little kid activities! My daughter enjoyed coloring all over the box!
This is the second pair of Hatley rain boots I have bought for my son. He grew out of the first and we got him another pair. They run true to size and are wonderful for the price!
