The EVA outsole adds a surprising amount of flexibility which is ideal for casual or all-day wear.
With its ankle-high silhouette, this boot can seamlessly transition from day to night. Pair them with jeans for a chic daytime look or dress them up with a skirt or dress for a night out. The rich cognac color not only enhances its appeal but also pairs well with various outfits.
Moreover, the thoughtful design features such as the finger gore and back pull tab facilitate an easy on-and-off experience, making them practical for those busy mornings when you're rushing out the door.

I like the boots. I didn’t get to wear them a lot yet.I wear size 9 medium width, boots fit exactly the size. They are a little tight width wise, but this is expected for leather shoes. Boots are not heavy, height is perfect to wear with slim pants, leggings or ankle length pants. I have a little wider calf and ankle, boots actually make them look slimmer:)
The 8.5 Frye boot fits like my other Frye boots. They're a bit narrow around the front of the foot, but I just stuck some thick wool socks inside for a day and then wore them for a day, and they're very comfortable. Plus they look super durable and are super cute without looking heavy and clunky.
These boots are the BOMB. Stunning look and color. Tough, but so stylish! They’re also super lightweight, but you’d never guess it from seeing them. They look so sturdy and substantial. The leather is stiff out of the box but the boots are comfortable. Planning on bringing these for a walking trip in a couple weeks, so going to wear them as much as possible daily until then. Just love them!
The reason for the 4 stars is that these aren’t true to size. They run small and narrow. I did reorder a 7 to see the difference in fit. They are however beautifully made and designed thus the reason for ordering a 1/2 size up. I have never had to do that with Frye. 6.5 is my true size but due to the sole being substantial maybe that is the reason. Very light weight and I can see these beauties with a lot of clothing options. So fingers crossed that the 7 is perfect if not I will ship back. Price right.* UPDATE I just received the 7’s and they are perfect!! Wore them all day Friday with all the comfort of FRYEs glad I went up just 1/2 size more they would been huge.
I love Frye boots, though they don't make them in my size (5). I typically buy a 5.5 and add an innersole, since I need the arch support anyway. This time, for Winter, I added a shearling innersole, making these boots a delight to wear. They have a nice wide, round toe box, yet are snug enough on the heel. There is elastic give in the leather ankle. They look great with ankle length wide pants and dresses and even over skinny jeans. The soles are thick rubber and cushy like gym shoes. I feel they give me an extra two inches in height, even though they appear flat. I've worn them a lot and walked distances and they are already a bit worn at the heel because the rubber sole is soft, but that's also the reason they are so comfortable! The leather has a bit of polish, so they can look dressy, but one wearing in the desert will make them more rustic. I get a lot of compliments on these boots.
I purchased a similar boot a couple of years ago which has been great. I liked the heavy sole that could stand up to any weather and was great for travel. I was thought these boots would also have that sole but they did not. The sole on the Ella Moto was a molded plastic foam. These soles would not hold up too much walking and would slip on a wet surface. They are only made for fashion. The old boots where made in Mexico and the new made in India. This is unfortunate as the Frye boots made in the USA and Mexico have held up to all kinds of use. I am concerned that the Frye brand has been coopted for fashion and the functional rugged boot is going away.I would not purchase this boot.
I loved these so much and couldn’t find them anywhere else I decided it was worth the gamble. The material quality seemed good but after about 3 wears the leather started separating from the sole which is not up to Frye quality. I’ve worn them multiple times since and they are still ok but I’m not hopeful they’ll hold up for years like my other true Frye footwear. I think I’ll super glue them and hope for the best which I should not be doing to a pair of $2-300 boots I’ve had for a month
Love these. Amazing price. So happy!
