If you're looking for a versatile pair of booties that blend style with comfort, the Frye Carson Piping Booties should be at the top of your list. The full-grain leather not only enhances the visual appeal but also provides a durable structure that can withstand daily wear and tear.
When it comes to comfort, Frye's supple leather lining ensures a smooth feel against your skin, minimizing any discomfort typically associated with new footwear. Unlike many boots that require a breaking-in phase, these are ready to wear right out of the box, allowing you to slip them on and go about your day with assurance.
In terms of style, the signature piping detail sets these booties apart, giving them a unique flair that can easily transition from casual daytime outings to evening events. Their neutral caramel (Avalon Leather) color pairs well with a range of outfits, from jeans to dresses, making them a staple in your wardrobe.
One potential downside is their price point, which may put them out of reach for some shoppers. However, given Frye's excellent craftsmanship and the longevity expected from these booties, many find the investment worthwhile. Additionally, they come in limited colors, so if you're looking for something specific, your options might be narrowed.

I can't fault this boot for my skinny ankles. The size fits perfectly and there is definitely room for thick socks. The color is exactly as shown and gorgeous, a really nice alternative to black or brown boots. Plus, the price was also attractive. This was my first attempt at Frye boots of any type and unfortunately, they have to go back due to the top front of this boot pressing into the front of my ankle. Each time I bend my foot the top of the boot digs in. There is no way I can break this part of the boot in. I'm not sure it can even be done? Since the rest of the boot fit so great, I think a regular knee-high boot would be the way to go for me. The hunt is on.
They fit perfectly. Very comfortable. Great choice!
This bootie can be dressed up or down. It's made of high quality leather and the design is classic, so it won't go out of style. The reason I gave these boots 4 instead of 5 stars is the traction. There is barely any traction and you could slip easily on slick surfaces.
Fabulous fit and a great look! I'm already wearing them! Perfect delivery! Thank you!
The boot is very comfortable but noticed that the ankles rub after walking for a little while - rub the ankle bones raw after about 30min of walking.
Beautiful, thick leather. They do run a half size long. The graphite is lovely and very unique. The cognac was pretty too but more casual looking and definitely fit tighter. The graphite was a more glossy finish and I felt like they would handle rain a bit better. Oh, and they are slippery but I assume the soles will roughen up with wear as they are leather. You can always buy tread too if needed.
The boots themselves are super cute, fit like a glove, and are just what I was looking for. However, they are also CLEARLY worn. Deeply creased leather around the ankles, scuffs and discoloring on the leather portion of the heel, a portion of the heel itself that is literally peeling off. Will be returning and buying directly from Frye. Some of the worst quality control I have experienced with an Amazon order.
The Frye Carson Piping bootie is a wardrobe staple. You can feel and even smell the quality. Am I the only one who loves the smell of fresh leather when you open a box of new boots? Maybe just me? Anyways, these boots are made for years of great wear. I bought the graphite leather, and it's gorgeous. The piping is one simple curvy line on the outer aspect of the boot, it's a minimalist style. I wear size 7's in most shoes and these were a tad too large so back they go, but maybe I should consider a 6 1/2 as the 7's made my foot look too long. I tend to lean towards boots with lots of pizazz like the Frye Ray Harness boot, but these would make a great, versatile boot.
