At first I was skeptical about ordering these to go with my colonial age costume due to other reviews about the buttons popping off but they looked so good and would match my outfit perfectly. I went ahead and ordered them and wore them all day walking around. I wear 10 1/2 shoes so the medium worked out great and I didn’t lose any buttons and they were comfortable. Being 5-10 190 I don’t have oversized legs or calves so I wasn’t putting much pressure on the buttons (these boots slip on as is without having to tie anything). Since I like the boots I will be ordering 1” screw back conchos buttons in the event any do pop off and I will replace all 14 of them since the current buttons are only pressed in with no way to reattach them if they pop out. Sure it’s a small additional cost to replace the buttons if needed but remember these are not high end name brand dress boots and will last for many costume events. Plus I can put whatever fancy buttons I choose on them to make them look really sharp.
They look great, but I'm wondering how long they'll hold up. First full day wearing them at faire and my son had 5 of the 14 buttons come off. Now I have to buy screwback conchos to replace all the buttons, which will add about another $30 to the price of them. He says they're comfortable. I do worry what a rainy day would do to them. All in all, they're OK considering I didn't want to pay $200+ for a good leather pair until I'm sure his feet are done growing. I do have to disagree with the review that said they aren't for muscular calves. My son has 18" calves and had no issues with calf fit. The shipping of each boot separately in a bubble mailer was definitely different. I'd say they're a great buy for young ones who are still growing or people who only want to wear them a couple times a year at most, but if you're looking for something that will hold up to much more than that, I'd look for a better quality boot.
I ordered these in a pinch, as the actual boots I wanted for my gear were going to take months to be tailored and sent out. Did not expect them to be great for the price, but was pleasantly surprised with the quality! They are soft and flexible like leather that has been well kept, despite being faux. Build quality is superb- I expect these to last quite a while! They are also surprisingly comfortable with good arch support, durable soles, and are capable of fitting to any calf size with a huge range of flexibility and customizable levels of tightness from the ankle up! I could (and have) walked around in these for an entire day with ZERO foot pain or discomfort.If you like the appearance of the boots, don't hesitate and buy them! They're way better quality than you probably think they are, not some costume quality garbage like alot of the items on Amazon in this price range.Small fit perfectly for a Men's Size 8-9.5 if you have narrow feet like I do- try adding the inner soles from your tennis shoe on top of the inner sole inside the boot. This will make it nice and snug around the top of the foot and add to the comfort level.
Purchased for a Halloween costume. Excellent quality. Surprisingly very comfortable. As advertised. Highly recommend. Would definitely purchase again.

These are absolutely lovely. I have grown to expect cool looking products like this to be significantly less impressive in real life, but these exceed expectation. The materials are thick and comfortable, especially up the leg. The sole could probably use an insert, but that might just be my feet. They do take a minute to lace up, but it's totally worth it. I have lots of uses for these and they do quite well in all of them. Very nice boots. Very nice.
Ordered these fine boots after a celtic music festival with less than stellar shoes on. Saw a fella wearing a similar pair and was expecting to pay hundreds. For a booth that will be infrequently worn, the quality on these is amazing for the price. I expected more of a costume piece but the soles are solid, the leg portion detailed and they actually fit.I'm impressed.
