When it comes to winter boots for kids, the Columbia Youth Unisex Powderbug Forty Print leads the pack due to its thoughtful design tailored for active play. The waterproof construction is a game changer, especially during snowy outings where wet feet can quickly spoil the fun. The insulation is another highlight; with a robust 400g, these boots do an excellent job at maintaining warmth even when the temperatures drop significantly.
The comfort factor shines through with the boot's lightweight materials that don't weigh down small feet. The design also includes a flexible midsole which contributes to the overall comfort while walking or playing. Additionally, the non-marking rubber outsole offers safety indoors, allowing your child to transition effortlessly from outside play to home without concern for scuffing the floors.
One key feature worth mentioning is the ease of use. The hook and loop strap closures allow children to put on and take off the boots independently, fostering a sense of autonomy and confidence. While the bulkiness of the boot is something to consider—especially if your child prefers a sleeker shoe—the overall warmth and performance make it a worthwhile trade-off for winter conditions.
Overall, the Columbia Youth Unisex Powderbug Forty Print boots represent a solid investment for any parent looking to keep their child warm, dry, and active during the winter months. With thoughtful features and reliable construction, these boots equip your little ones for fun-filled adventures in the snow.

You can even go to the poles with these boots! It has a removable felt-like lining inside, I'll try and see in the winter but with that it sure looks like the feet will stay warm and dry. Because of this lining, the fit is getting a little smaller, taking into account the thick socks, it would be good to order one size bigger, I did the same and I didn't regret it. As an adult I bought the big kid size 37/38 for myself so the weight is not a big deal but younger kids may find the boot heavy.
Great quality. My kids say they are comfy and warm! will definitely purchase again!
My son says these fit perfectly!
The boots are comfortable but hard to put on
These boots run tight in the ankle so make sure to size up. Other than that great boot.
Always on the lookout for quality boots for low price for kids since we may get a season out of one pair. Daughter loved these. Warm, dry and stylish for an 11-yr. Wisconsin based so she gets plenty of use.
I bought these size 5 boots for my 11yo son. They are uncomfortably small on him. They're labelled Youth 5, size 37, which should be the same as a US Women's size 7. I wear this size in just about every brand of show, including Columbia's women's Ice Maiden boots: these kids boots are tiny. With just a typical sport sock on, I could just barely jam my foot into them. To wear with ski socks, I'd recommend sizing up 2 sizes at least. While I like the removeable insulation to help them dry quickly, the boot is also very heavy on the foot, so I'm not going to reorder them.
Very good product and very reliable and responsible seller.
