When it comes to winter footwear, especially for active youngsters, the Columbia Youth Unisex Powderbug Forty Print excels in several key areas. First and foremost, the impressive 400g insulation provides remarkable warmth, allowing kids to enjoy their snowy adventures without feeling cold.
The waterproof construction is another standout feature; parents can rest assured that their child's feet will remain dry even when trudging through deep snow or slush. The combination of a waterproof textile upper and a seam-sealed midsole creates a barrier against moisture, which is crucial for maintaining comfort during outdoor activities.
Moreover, the design promotes easy wearability thanks to the convenient hook and loop strap closure system. This allows both kids and parents to quickly get the boots on and off—an essential factor for those unpredictable fun-filled days outdoors. Additionally, the slip-on style with adjustable features helps ensure a snug fit while locking out snow.
The non-marking outsole is perfect for indoor use, meaning that these boots can transition from outside play to inside games without damaging floors. In terms of safety, the aggressive lug pattern enhances grip and traction in snow, ensuring little ones stay steady on their feet, whether they’re climbing hills or running down slopes.
In summary, the Columbia Youth Unisex Powderbug Forty Print is a fantastic investment for parents looking to equip their children with durable and reliable snow boots. With its thoughtful features and practical design, your child can enjoy the winter wonderland while staying warm and dry.

You can even go to the poles with these boots! It has a removable felt-like lining inside, I'll try and see in the winter but with that it sure looks like the feet will stay warm and dry. Because of this lining, the fit is getting a little smaller, taking into account the thick socks, it would be good to order one size bigger, I did the same and I didn't regret it. As an adult I bought the big kid size 37/38 for myself so the weight is not a big deal but younger kids may find the boot heavy.
Great quality. My kids say they are comfy and warm! will definitely purchase again!
My son says these fit perfectly!
The boots are comfortable but hard to put on
These boots run tight in the ankle so make sure to size up. Other than that great boot.
Always on the lookout for quality boots for low price for kids since we may get a season out of one pair. Daughter loved these. Warm, dry and stylish for an 11-yr. Wisconsin based so she gets plenty of use.
I bought these size 5 boots for my 11yo son. They are uncomfortably small on him. They're labelled Youth 5, size 37, which should be the same as a US Women's size 7. I wear this size in just about every brand of show, including Columbia's women's Ice Maiden boots: these kids boots are tiny. With just a typical sport sock on, I could just barely jam my foot into them. To wear with ski socks, I'd recommend sizing up 2 sizes at least. While I like the removeable insulation to help them dry quickly, the boot is also very heavy on the foot, so I'm not going to reorder them.
Very good product and very reliable and responsible seller.
