When it comes to keeping your child’s feet warm and stylish during outdoor adventures, the Columbia Girls' Youth Minx Shorty Omni-Heat Waterproof Hiking Boot excels in multiple categories. The OMNI-TECH technology offers a breathable yet waterproof experience, which is crucial for tackling wet and snowy conditions without sacrificing comfort. The interior lining utilizes OMNI-HEAT's reflective properties, effectively retaining warmth without causing overheating.
The design aspect cannot be overlooked; these boots feature a chic fur-cuffed quilted ankle which not only adds flair but also provides additional insulation around the ankles. The boot allows for plenty of flex, making them suitable for both hiking and casual wear, enabling your child to move freely and confidently.
One of the standout features is the all-weather traction provided by the Omni-Grip outsole. This non-marking rubber ensures that your little one's steps are stable on various surfaces, from icy trails to indoor play areas. Parents can rest easy knowing their children won’t slip and fall.
However, it is important to note that some users have reported that the boots run slightly small, so considering going a size up might be beneficial. Additionally, the faux-fur cuff requires occasional maintenance to keep it looking new over time. Nevertheless, these minor drawbacks do not overshadow the overall performance and style of the Minx Shorty boots.

These boots are amazing for active kiddos that need a flexible and lightweight boot for running around and still keep their feet warm and dry. I did add an extra layer of water resistant spray for extra water resistance, and my other kiddo got a tear in the fabric. I was advised by Columbia to get Gear Aid tape for a patch, and that stuff is also amazing! SOO MUCH BETTER THAN THE BIG CHUNKY RUBBER BOOT!
Are so cozy and confortable for my son, he is 9, and we don’t use yet at snow but looks like are awesome
Warm, comfortable, and stylish!
Very good boots in the snow. Better than I thought that would be. Feet are never cold.
I bought this boot in the kid's size because it was out of stock in the equivalent women's boot. I have a small (5-1/2 in adult sizing) foot and have gone to the children's section before. These boots fit as expected and are very comfortable and warm. I wore them for a several-mile-walk right out of the box.
Nice boots but they are not waterproof. They are also not warm enough for playing in the snow. These are best suited for everyday casual wear.
They are warm and cozzy. The color is great and even though they are for kids, I bought them for myself, I am usually size 8, and ordered 6 in kids size and they are just perfect, they even have room for extra socks. I haven't used them in extreme weather, but I will update.
These are actually waterproof, unlike another brand that we tried. I bought them a 1/2 size bigger than her athletic shoes and they fit perfectly, so they may be on the smaller side of a size. These are adorable and not bulky. She loves them and so do I.
