I bought a pair of BOGS Women's Kettering in 2016 and wore them for years. Even though they were a size too big, they worked for me with and without socks. They lasted until 2022, when I could start to feel wetness in wet grass. I bought many different boots trying to find one that reminded me of the BOGS W-Kettering. This boot is the one that reminds me of it. There's a curve in the back of the heel that prevents your foot from slipping out when walking without socks, and the ankle hugs enough to also keep the foot from sliding out at a certain angle. There's more coverage on of the rubber on the top of the foot (the W-Kettering didn't have the top of the foot covered in rubber), which is a good thing. The boot is around the same height as the W-Kettering and is warm and comfortable. These won't see as much wear as my previous boots, as these ones will only be used to walk my dog. I expect they will last for many years.
These are perfect! Very comfortable, not at all bulky like you might expect for a high-performance waterproof and extreme temperature boot. I look forward to having dry and warm feet on cold and rainy days for many years to come!
These boots are not what they used to be. They have little support and run a little smaller than the other Crandall boots. I walk my dogs in the am & pm so I am dissappointed.Pros:TallWaterproofCons:Runs a little smallDoes not have much support from ankle down to the feetI decided to keep these boots considering my other Crandall boots on the inside the "felt" or lining was coming off around the back ankle. So since there was not much support I put a Vionic arch insert in them and they felt much better. These boots will keep your feet dry! They will keep your feet fairly warm for a few hours if you continue to walk around more than sitting. I can only recommend these boots if you put an insert in them. There aren't too many boots out there that are waterproof and that is a requirement for me. I also do need them warm. I am normally a size 7 1/2 in shoes, but I think Bogs are changing their product and that's not a good idea considering when you purchase some things many times you are counting on the Brand Name to come through. In these boots and other Bogs a size 7 should be more than roomy. I am grateful at least that I have an insert to put in them. I also put Ice Grippers on the bottoms of them so I don't slip. These also help with making my ankles sturdy. They are tall as well, but are an inch or so shorter than the orginal ones.
I wear a women’s size 13 and these fit perfectly and are super comfy.
Only the foot is waterproof, the shaft is only water resistant. Water will come up over the foot area and your socks will be wet. I was looking for a fully waterproof boot. I usually buy Muk boots. I should have stuck with Muk boots. I got these on sale. For the price, I was expecting a high performance outdoor boot.
My daughter will love them
I loved these boots, they are perfect. However, both boots are now leaking in the same spot at the heel, now they are basically useless, feet get cold and wet instantly.
I liked the comfort of the footbed and simplicity of the style and but the top of the calf was too tight for me. I exchanged them for a similar style with an adjustable calf.
