I typically wear and 11.5 and this one fit as expected when I ordered that size.I have to say that these boots are a bit of a strange mix of rugged waterproof outdoor boot and a stylish Chelsea boot. The thing is, when you look at them, they fail to look either rugged or stylish. You see, a fashion Chelsea boot tends to have a very thin leather sole and a reasonably soft leather upper so it looks quite smart and it is easy to slide on/off with the elastic sides. By contrast, this boot has huge, thick soles with weather-proof flashing, making them look far from smart, and a bit like galoshes. But that galoshes-like look, along with the cum-Chelsea look make them not appear to be a rugged shoe at all. But luckily, looks are deceiving. This is an extremely rugged sole and the uppers are quite stiff and would ward-off kicking cactus as you waltzed across the desert. The waterproof flashing appears to do exactly what it is meant to do by creating a water-impermeable dam around the bottom part of the upper, but that flashing contributes to the galoshes-look.They take a bit of effort to slip-on since the upper is quite stiff and the huge sole is also very stiff. I would not buy these and then immediately take them on a rugged outdoor outing. Expect to spend 3 weeks or so breaking them in and you'll likely be much happier. Once your foot is in the shoe, the soles are very comfortable with lots of cushion, but as noted, the shoe needs a break-in period or you will be in danger of finding blisters on the menu since the shoe initially refuses to bend as you walk. Honestly, though, almost all rugged-sole shoes require a break-in period, so this isn't a big deal in my opinion. So these would make for a great outdoor shoe that almost looks stylish. I'd likely consider them, instead of my soft-side Columbia hikers, when I would be walking across areas where I would need the uppers to protect me from cactus or other plant thorns. I probably am not going to wear these out on the town because they really don't meet the stylish expectations of a proper Chelsea style boot.
I really like this work boot but I find it a bit small. In order for my foot to fit inside this show, I have to wear thin socks. If you have wide feet, steer clear away from this. The build quality is awesome for this boot but hopefully, it will stand up to the abuse from a working environment. So far it looks and feels great but wish I could use thicker socks. Maybe in due time when it is broken in more, it will be a more comfortable fit.
These Bass Outdoor boots are quality boots with a thick outsole and a waterproof to keep your feet dry. The elastic on the sides allows these boots to easily be slipped on or off. The design and finish of the boot are both excellent and they look attractive. The insole and insert are well padded for comfortable wear all day. One area where I am particular with boots is not having the ability to feel the shoe pressing on the top of your toes, the toe box in these is built with a good amount of space making them very good.
I have a second home, in the woods of Virginia. It is surrounded by lots of trees, a branch, soft ground, hard ground, hilly, and flat. I am always trekking and hiking, to and fro. Therefore, I need a very versatile, quality boot. Now, I don't know about yours, but in my world, Bass has always meant quality. So, when the opportunity presented itself, to get this boot, I did not hesitate. You can tell that Bass has a stellar reputation, judging by the product page, as it only talked about the company, and that reputation, and forgot to address the boot. Anyway, I can tell you that I got a size 12, and it fit as expected. The boot, of course, looks very well made. It has a quality rubber sole. The upper consists of a thick, high-quality leather. As sure as I am of anything, I am sure that this very comfortable boot will last, a very long time.
Good looking boots/chukkas that are about half a size larger than expected but I need the extra room-- so I ended up with a good fit on my "wide" foot (only wide at one spot, but it's the proximal end of the metatarsals... oh wait, did I get technical there? Sorry.Good fit. Good looking boot. No problems. A miracle, really.
These boots are amazingly comfortable even after twelve straight hours of wear! The boots are wonderful for walking and standing on cement for hours at a time. The boots are very breathable and do not make my feet hot or overly sweaty. The sole of the boots is super tough and grips all surfaces well even wet ones. The shoes have great arch support and are just very comfortable and built to last. I am in love with these boots because I usually walk about 10 miles a day and when I wear these my feet do not ache afterwards. Well worth the money!
I wear a 10.5 and Amazon suggested an 11 in this boot would fit. However, it is too small. I would suggest ordering one full size up and rounding up if need be. If I would have order a size 11.5 or 12 I think it would have been fine. They look well built, but since I can't really wear them, I have no idea if they are actually comfortable or not.
