I am a diehard Ariat boot fan. I have worn Ariat boots for many years working in oil and gas industry. They hold up so well in the oil field. I'm not sure why the Canadian standards on boots are so lax. These boots are falling apart after 3.5 weeks of gentle wear. The inside of heel is coming apart already. The leather on the toe covering of the composite protection is peeling back and I just bumped the toe on a hard surface, the minor scuff just peeled the leather back like a banana peel. I am more than disappointed with the lack luster quality of these boots. $200+ Down the drain just so I can be compliant for Canada. This is not Ariat quality by any means.The boots were very comfortable until they started falling apart. For this price, one would expect them to last more than 3.5 weeks. Too late to return them. Sadly, I'm stuck with garbage that I can no longer wear. Do more research before you buy this style if you work in oil and gas. They meet CSA standards but not my standards.
