These shoes with metal cleats are ESSENTIAL to me so I can climb up and down the hills on our farm. I wear them multiple times a day. They aren't waterproof but they dry quickly. The metal lasts even though I walk on the deck and on gravel driveway. This is my third pair.

Although the shoe is for baseball—it marks well for hiking. We have a lot of intensely steep hills. Even on muddy days, shoe is excellent for gripping terrain!
The older I get, the more creative I’ve become - necessity is the mother of invention. Anyway, as a senior citizen, my biggest concern is that I will slip and fall in the snow covered parking lot. I bought these baseball shoes w/cleats to hopefully help me keep from slipping. They are much easier to walk in than expected, and they don’t catch or tear up the carpet when walking out of the apartment. You’ll need to have an extra pair of shoes to change into, though, cuz it’s kind of weird to wear them in normal settings.** my daughter thought this was a smart use of cleats, but my grandchildren think it’s “weird.” I guess I agree with all of them. Lol
