We are always trying to find the perfect cleat. I think over the last 2 years, we have tried at least 10 different types of cleats. It has been impossible to find one that looks "right", is wide enough, and is durable enough to use everyday.Notes-- Very aggressive spike - each spike has a small divot in the middle to help it dig in better. This is especially helpful in the outfield when you need your spike to "dig" in order to gain a bit of extra traction and acceleration.- Mizuno is probably the best of the bunch, but all metal spikes can be hard on your feet and these are know different. If you wear them and find that you are having issues with pressure points on the bottom of your feet you may need orthotics or extra padding.
Metal cleats. Lace up. Sizing is fairly true but order up if on the fence or you have wide feet. These work well on the baseball field and are comfortable shoes. Also, they look good.
I tried these for my son so he'd have a backup pair of spikes. They came in his school's color and I find the shoes to be attractive. After two practices he told me they were a bit on the uncomfortable side and his feet hurt. He's kind of picky about his spikes, so this was a gamble on my part to begin with. They'll work in an emergency, but we won't get daily use out of them, which is a shame. They appear to be good quality, but I can't speak to durability.
This is a very nice pair of cleats that have that same Mizuno (slightly narrow) fit but with a bit more padded feeling than I historically get from Mizuno's. I noticed the cushioning EVA foam layer between the sole and upper that is absorbing some of that shock while the dense memory foam-ish insert further softens impact. Honestly, I've worn Mizuno cleats on and off for over 20 years (tee-ball to minors) and these are the most comfortable to date. The upper is some undisclosed synthetic material. It provides a matte texture and finish that I personally like. They breathe very well. I haven't used them on wet turf, so can't speak to how dry they keep your feet. Standard flat laces look nice, tie easily and hold knot.Arch support is good. As I mentioned before, these trend on the narrow side as I feel all Mizuno's do.Traction and bite are good. I play CF and attest these are solid performers in dirt and turf.
Our son is very picky about his cleats and shoes, and he was very happy with these. He has a bit of a wide foot, but these worked very well not to crowd his feet or be uncomfortable, while also offering tons of support while he runs. The metal helps dig into the dirt and grass very well. He loves them!
no, they're not the most comfortable, but they fit well and I'm very ok with the discomfort when wearing cleats since I've never found a pair that was so comfortable, I'd prefer to wear them over gym shoes. Spike disbursement on bottom is nice, and helps easily get the mud off. I really like these cleats.
These cleats are great! Per my child: they are comfortable and look awesome! They give good traction. Mizuno is our go to brand for softball and baseball!
This is rough. I sort of felt like that this was cheaply made and not well-made. I don't like it.
