I loved these so much I bought them again in gray. As someone with wider ankles and calves who loves dr martens even though they are an imperfect fit these were a dream.They are about the same shape as the 1460– though they have a more square toe— but they’re just subtly wider in the ankle. Part of it is the tongue which is 4 inches in width instead of 2.5 inches ish. They are six inches high starting above the sole and my calf is 14 inches-ish around where this hits and they zip up no problem with no gaping even at the very top of the laces. If you have a thinner ankle they’d be good boots if you want to zip them over pants.They’re pretty comfy right out of the box and I know they’ll be great once a little worn in.The color is an absolutely beautiful cool toned pink. I bought them to match a Maya Kern skirt (hiss from a rose in the light color way) and it’s perfect. The both photos are not perfectly true to color because the lighting is yellow, but the stock photo is just a touch bright.
Color is a little darker than expected but great quality and fit and very cute.
The boot is beautiful, but I have big legs and thick ankles, so the boot opening was too small. Didn’t think this would be a problem since I own similar boots, but these are too tight at the ankle.
I love how they fit
I LOVE these boots, the quality is outstanding, even the box is a keeper! They are real pebble grain leather, the sole is exactly what I want BUT, sadly, so sadly, the 8.5 is too tight right where it starts to taper and the 9 is too long and my heal slips out of it when I walk. I guess I need an 8 3/4. I have to return both pairs and it really sucks!*Update, been wearing the 9's around the house, I'm still debating, may be cancelling my return on them. It is just so hard to find a great quality boot that is REAL leather, other brands are all man made and for way more money. I'd be crazy not to keep these!Part 3, can't keep them after an hour in the house they are just too narrow for my 8.5-9 size medium foot. they are going back.
They are fabulous
I absolutely fell in love with these. They seemed well made. I got a million compliments on them. They do run a little bit narrow. But I truly love them. They were NOT tight in the ankles at all. However, the zipper on the ankle broke after wearing them only twice.
