I really love the look, this boot is not heavy or clumsy to walk in. I actually ordered them in black too!
I'd been looking foreverrrrrrrrr for a pair of cheap but authentic-ish cowboy boots that could go with everything from jeans to dresses. I came across this brand and was hesitant since their products are MIC. Honestly I was expecting to return these. I wasn't sure how I would like the dusty/distressed look based on other reviewer comments, and I was a bit concerned about how they would fit as I tried out a different style of Roper boots in 7.5W and they fit decently (had just a tad bit side-to-side wiggle room). I'm a true 7.5 and my feet are narrow enough to fit "normal" B and M widths yet wide enough to comfortably wear W when available. These boots fit well and comfortably right away but definitely need a break-in, which took about a half dozen of wears. Like other reviewers mentioned it can be difficult to get your heel through the opening at the ankle, so if you're someone whose feet swell noticeably you may want to size up. I did notice later that it gets easier to slip your foot in past that point after breaking in so, for me at least, it seems that the ankle opening stretched somewhat. The distressing isn't exactly natural-looking but doesn't look totally terrible either. I like that I don't have to worry about scuffs and marks since they're already there and the look will only improve with actual wear and tear. I suppose for the price point of just under $100 these bonded leather boots will do for now (*very thinly bonded* might I add 👎🏻🙄). I'll just have to save up for a pair of Ariats or Fryes once these finally give out.
Absolutely love these, love the overall look. They are just as pictured with the "worn" look. I have no idea what to tell everyone about going with your true size or not, lol. I will explain my experience. I am always a 9. Always. Doesn't matter if it's boots, sneakers, sandals, etc. These arrived and the right one went on with the typical new-cowboy-boot slight struggle, then felt perfect once on. The left one wouldn't go on at all, didn't want to go past my heel, no matter what I did. It was as if the part of the boot that begins right at the low ankle was fashioned too tightly? I even put on a nylon knee-high sock to try to make my foot "slippery" enough to go in. Nope. So I ordered a replacement size 9 and held my breath, thinking maybe I got a pair where the left one was simply a lemon. That did the trick, I received them, and although still snug going on, with the nylon sock both went on fine. I can say the size 9.5 would have been too big, because once on, they fit like a new cowboy boot should: a tiny bit tight but FIT. They will stretch a bit. So I wouldn't necessarily say go UP a size, just wanted to explain my experience. LOVE them though!!UPDATE: replacement pair was perfect, went over my heel and ankle just fine so I am assuming I just got a lemon pair....don't hesitate, these are super cute!!! :-)
I was concerned when buying these boots that they would be too small, but after wearing them off and on for about 2 weeks they broke in really well. My toes felt a lot of contact with the top and front of the boots at first but now they fit very comfortably. There isn’t any arch support but I was still able to wear them out dancing with some girlfriends for 5 hours and again to work for another 5 hours on my feet without much pain. There’s definitely no grip on the bottoms, which can be good for dancing! But is something to be aware of for sure. Regardless, I love these boots and recommend them as a fun, dressy type of boot to add to your collection. Because who says there has to be a limit to the amount of boots you own?!
I needed these boots for work trimming heavy brush and trees and ordered a size up so they would be easy on and off, and the size is perfect. There is only one very serious problem and that is the slick soles. They caused me to slip and slide around even in the very rough environment of leaves and limbs to the extent that I almost fell a few times. I can't think of any way to "roughen" these soles and have no idea why any style of boot would have these slick soles. They surely would be dangerous on carpeting, etc.
I ride horses and live in a rural area. I wear cowboy boots A LOT. I bought these because they looked cute and I needed a new black pair.First off - they are CHEAP. Literally parts of them are glued. As I was trying to pull them on (more to that in a minute) the glue was peeling apart and I felt like I was going to rip off the handles.Second- they are WAY too tight. Like I said, I am used to cowboy boots. I KNOW that they are tight at first and break it. I know that you can take them and get them stretched. But these are way tighter than normal boots. I was finally able to get one on but could not get the other on. I stood up in the one I COULD get on and they were very uncomfortable. Slick bottoms, very hard sole. No way I could walk in them all day.My recommendation is DO NOT BUY.
Very comfortable and cute! They keep my feet warm too. I have wide feet and high arches so certain boots hurt my feet but these are very comfortable. I may purchase the black color.
Even though it said it would be delivered between 1-2 weeks, I got then in just under a week. The books are perfect. It will take some getting use to getting use to getting into boots again. My feet are not quite wide but fits snuggly into a regular width. They do fit a bit snug but with a little work and wearing them, the leather should fit perfectly. No one ever wants super loose boots! The heel does come with plastic soul, so it has a nice grip but the rest of the soul is super slick. You can scuff them up with sand paper or just go for a walk on rough concrete or roads. I'm looking forward to breaking them in.
